Gets the job done. Definitely 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz, it's slick and slim, however it's just a cheap protective case. That just means that there's no real weight to the modem itself so it can easily topple or be knocked over weighs about a 1lb. The Netgear app helps setup real easy so make sure to download this app if you require assistance. Signal works great two bedrooms away, and speed will depend on your ISP

Everything will be cramped up and no extra accessories will fit but if youre simply taking your oculus with both controllers to show off at a party or a friend's house it gets the job done. I noticed there are two releases for this 4k version. One released in 2018 and another in 2016. Are there differences other than the rebranded cover like audio and video of the two releases?
I had a similar question in mind as well. Besides the reason you just mentioned (audio/video) the only discernable difference I've noticed is that one version comes with the Digital copy so you can download it onto Vudu/Movies anywhere account while the other is simply the 4k & blu ray version.

Yes as long as the hard copy (on the box) mentions "digital copy" there should be a slip of paper on the inside of the box with the code.
