Great Product but falls short on Sound

Got this SB because it has 2 HDMI ports for connecting my cable box and 4K Player to my new Sony 4K TV. In order to make the best use of Sound Bars, you need to connect source devices into SB rather than directly into HDMI inputs on the TV. However, I am still waiting to be amazed at the Virtual Surround feature. This SB also supports wireless rear speakers which I purchased separately.

works well with the Sony X900F TV and fits perfectly between the TV feet. Only issue was the 1 HDMI input. As I discovered you need to plug your cable box and 4K player into the SB to get the best audio. So you need 2 inputs. Had to exchange it for the Z9F.

Another complicated piece of 4K Technology

Now you have to know how much silver is in a High Speed Audioquest cable and make sure it supports the speeds you need for enhanced HDMI input connections, and remember which end of the cable goes into your equipment. Time will tell once I have 4K content to watch as to the performance of these cables. Be careful when selecting the names of your cables and review which color or flavor does what with names like Coffee, Pearl, Ocean, SKY, etc.

Great 4K TV but could use some doc

I am enjoying my new Sony but now I have to get rid of my BLU RAY Home Theater to replace with a 4K Player and Soundbar.
Just opening the box the TV came in required a YouTube video that you wouldnt know about until you set the TV up. THe doc that came with the TV was very brief and provided little information and guidance on how to set some of the primary video options. No help from Sony support. And like all electronic manuals they leave out specific info on configuring the setup if you have a Cable Box. With all the acronyms surrounding 4K technology and the selection of high speed HDMI cables, HDR modes, X-Motion settings, etc., one can easily be overcome with an abundance of info but lacking the specifics on how to apply the info. I would recommend this TV for those who want high end 4K viewing but cannot afford OLED.

Just bought this soundbar setup. Didn’t think about the wire. How do you run/hide the wires going to the TV? Thanks!
There is only 1 HDMI cable from SB to TVs HDMI3 ARC input using a High Speed cable (18Gbps) for Enhanced hdmi 4K support. It runs behind the SB so you really do not notice it. This SB also support 2 4K source devices like a cable box and 4K Player and that also allows Enhanced hdmi 4K HDR support for these devices. To get optimum sound, source devices should be connected to SB rather than to TV. This SB also has 2 optional wireless rear speakers that you can add on later.
