Retired a 43 Old Clothes Washer

The new Maytag washer was installed and my old washer of 43 years was taken away to the place where retired metal appliances are taken. I wish my old washer the best of luck in retirement.

Not a Washer I would Recommend

We replaced a Maytag washer that we had been using for 44 years. It finally rusted out. Wish I had done more research on the new Maytag. It sounds like it is about ready to take off for Mars. it is so loud. For a solid hour it complains loudly. My old washer was quiet but inefficient. The new Maytag is supposed to be efficient and use water wisely. I hope so. It also manages to tangle my wash into knots. I have to be really careful regarding how I load it. Oh well. It does clean my clothes. Just wish I had shopped around a little more and maybe gotten a washer that was a lot quieter.
