This box set is fantastic, either as accompaniment to Volume One or as a standalone entry into the world of the Shaw Brothers. Many of these movies represent some of the very best from a studio that had a huge cultural and artistic impact, and Arrow Video have created a fantastic set at a more than reasonable price.

This movie is a very amazing movie I would almost call it one a classic and to a masterpiece. But can't believe people I see on this page would say that it's very confusing to follow when it's very simple to follow if you actually watch the movie and understand it. And don't forget the unique ability that in Mortals have where they can take other Immortals power experience and knowledge. Because there's a lot of hypothetical things going on there for example let's say a hypothetical thing happened with Anakin wear he had that ability to take people's power knowledge and experience by cutting off their head so for example in Revenge of the Sith where he cut off Dooku's head he would have gotten all of his knowledge all of his experience and all this power which would make him have to decide two options either arrest Palpatine for being the Sith Lord or kill him.

The only thing you can expect when going into a Takashi Miike film is the unexpected. The über-prolific Japanese auteur has helmed over 70 theatrical features, TV shows, and straight-to-video offerings since 1991—that's 3.5 outings a year, including the span between 2001 and 2002, during which he made a baker's dozen worth of films—and he's dabbled in just about every genre, from westerns (Sukiyaki Western Django) and kid movies (The Great Yokai War) to yakuza epics (Dead or Alive) and my personal favorite, the nutso zombie-musical-claymation-family drama/comedy Happiness of the Katakuris. Of course, he's best known for pushing the boundaries of extreme cinema in the ultraviolent Ichi the Killer, the sadistic Audition, and, most explicitly, in the taboo-busting Visitor Q, which voyeuristically revels in incest, necrophilia, and "lactation sex." Miike frequently courts controversy, and this makes it doubly unexpected that his latest film is so comparatively traditional. A remake of a 1963 film of the same name, 13 Assassins fits neatly into the classic samurai movie mold. Instead of overturning the genre—as his reputation would suggest—Miike has simply reinvigorated it, to great effect. If films like Seven Samurai, Sword of Doom, and The 47 Ronin are your particular cup of green tea, 13 Assassins will go down just as easy.

I’m a huge fan of the manga and when I found this I was ecstatic. I bought it on a whim hoping it was good and it was!!! The movie scatteredly spots the first 4 1/2 books. I knew exactly which characters were which and even the little things they changed from the manga to the movie were enjoyable. It’s 2 hours long and the visual effects were great!! Worth the money and the watch. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!

I'm loving the versatility of this player! Finally I can buy region 2 films without worrying about playback issues, opening up my viewing options to foreign films and more obscure dvd's and blu-ray discs which I love. Definitely worth buying, and although it's not the most expensive multi-region device out there, it works beautifully and I'm very happy with it.

This is a nice package which nicely completes the saga/trilogy, the fights are fresh and the style was unique at its time. The theme is also appealing with some nature sense in it. The camera work was innovative and somewhat refreshing to see. If you come from an Asian movie background then many of the things done here may seem familiar, but if you have not seen modern Asian fighting movies, then give a go. I would recommend this for those wanting a good fighting movie
