It doesn't show up on the screen at all im using a regular Nintendo switch and a 3320 Polaroid tv I even tried it on a Samsung smart tv and nothing completely wasted my 30 bucks .

Make sure you are using the charger that came with the Switch or a different Nintendo Switch branded charger. I've heard any other regular usb c chargers don't work with these.
