Having owning the unit for 30 days and on a a road trip have found it lacking in a few areas. First the display brightness is for a better word terrible! I hard to believe that a detector that cost over $800 with tax cannot be bright enough in a car with tinted windows on a sunny day. The first time in over 40 years of owning them that it has been an issue. Second, BSM filtering is not the best as false alerts are still frequent. Conduct some research and reviews and you will find it his is true. Thirdly, when did having to use another device to take advantage of all functions and perform to the be the best (escort live). Not sure about you but having my cell phone get drained for short runs and continuously having it short charged on quick runs doesn’t seem the best for 1k phone batteries. Better options out there for less but maybe that’s just me.
$150-200 less and it would be a decent deal.

No newbie to these items. I own an Escort Max 360c, V1 Gen 1, V1 Gen 2, and an Escort Max 2. The V1 Gen 1 since 2004. For a short time also had Escort's 8500, 9500, Solo, as well.
As far as the Redline, for $750, I'm really disappointed. Had to return it. The lockout feature for the false alarms didn't work and the detector didn't detect any speed cameras or redlight cameras (was the reason I purchased it), my V1's don't detect cameras and my Max 2 is 6 years old and doesn't have the latest camera database.
The Ka range was better than the V1 Gen 2 and Max 360c.
