Great looking and sounding blu-ray that is wasted on a ridiculous story (I didn't understand why King felt a reason to write a sequel to his masterpiece "The Shining" in the first place).
Picked this up during a black Friday sale for next to nothing and gave it a fair watch. We chose the director's cut and unfortunately that's 3 hours I'll never get back. My daughter loved it so I gave it to her.
The 2 stars are for the picture and sound and because I'm feeling generous.

This 4K of Full Metal Jacket looks better to me than my blu-ray from 2011 (and that disc still looks good to me) and that's why you upgrade, right?
The movie itself is not a pretty picture and it never will be, so in order to justify the upgrade you need a good reason and the best reason is it's a Stanley Kubrick movie. As a fan I'm more than willing to upgrade but did I get my moneys worth? I personally think so. This 4K is rich in details and bold color schemes and the black levels look so much better. I'm satisfied I made the right choice and upgraded.
I can't tell if the included blu-ray is the same as the 2011 disc I already have. It doesn't matter anyway because I'll probably never watch it again. It will make a cool coaster I guess.

SPARTACUS in 4K

This 4K Spartacus looks and sounds (possibly) better now than it did in the theaters in 1960. But the real question is, is it worth the upgrade from the blu-ray Restored Edition of 2015?
If you have a 4K television and UltraHD blu-ray player then yes, it does seem to look better. The thing is, the 2015 disc looked so good that improving it would be hard to do. I do see a difference but it's not night and day because (again) the 2015 disc LOOKED THAT GOOD.
Ultimately if your happy with the 2015 disc then spend your money elsewhere. But if you have any other reason to consider an upgrade then you won't be disappointed with this 4K of Spartacus.
And you can now pass on your 2015 disc to someone else because this 2-disc set contains the 2015 blu-ray too.

Good Luck Future Star Wars Collectors

There should be t-shirts made that proclaim: "I've lived to finally see the FINAL Star Wars episode released!".
We all know that will never happen. As long as there are fans there will be Star Wars movies, right?
I liked The Rise of Skywalker film enough to add it to my Star Wars steelbook collection. The picture quality is 5 stars and the sound is 5 stars (once you turn the volume up a bit). The cover art looks good but I gave up long ago to criticize the continuity of the artwork of these Star Wars steelbooks.
At least The Rise of Skywalker steelbook's spine matches the first six films. That's saying something I guess.
