As a John Carpenter fan, I was excited to see this come to 4K. Disc looks and sounds amazing. Worth the upgrade for hardcore fans over the bluray.

The Johnny English series of films are great. if you have seen the past films or are a fan of Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean series, you won't be disappointed in this film. If you have never seen a Johnny English film, be prepared for fun. Another great. ride. As a hardcore fan, it may not have been as good as the past films but still very entertaining. Worth the purchase.

Field of Dreams = best Steelbook art case
on May 17, 2019

Great film. The steelbook has some of the best art design of any I have seen to date. Love the artwork. Only downside to the disc is they didn't put on any new extras. One would think for a 30th anniversary, they would have something new to add. Great movie that never looked or sounded better in 4K. Recommended to buy, If you haven't seen the movie, Field of Dreams is a classic. The type of movie that Hollywood no longer makes. If Frank Capra was alive, he would have made Field of Dreams. Should have received a Best Picture Oscar.

Keeps turning back on when turning off
on May 17, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
I purchased this at the same time as my 65" LG sk900 4K TV.
The Good: 4K quality out of it is great. Upscaling of DVDs is also great.
The Bad: When I turn the player off with the remote control, it shuts the player down. Then after a few seconds the player turns back on by itself. I then have to turn it off a second time. Always happens.
- Another bad point is when you try to take a disc out of the tray. Most people are right handed. So they remove discs with your right hand. This places your Right Thumb on the left side of the disc = left side of the player tray while unloading a disc. The round indentation in the tray is on the right side. If the indentation would be on the left side, it would match your thumb and make the process of removing discs from the tray much easier. As it stands you risk getting finger prints on the disc or dropping the disc by not having a solid hold on it with your left hand (as using your left hand is the only way to get your left thumb on the right side of the player tray which is where the indentation is for your thumb. Bad design since most people are right handed. If you are left handed, you will love it.

Amazing TV but poor LG customer Service

Short review: Amazing 4K TV for movies and gaming on Xbox One for the price (I paid the discounted price of $1600 at Christmas 2018). I'm using this in a dark room with 5 yr BB warranty. Love the TV for gaming, movies, and TV watching. LG customer service is VERY poor with details at end of this review.
Details: I had planned on purchasing the 65" TCL for $1000 even though I knew about the panel lottery with it. When I looked at the 65" TCL in store at BB, even the display model had the panel issue (Dirty screen) in the corners. If TCL doesn't care enough to have quality in store display models then I'm not purchasing their product. Then I researched and decided to purchase the LG SK9000 65" for $1600 at BB. They had the SK9000 playing the same 4k content in store as the LG B8 which was right next to it and was almost $1000 more. I could not tell the difference between the two sets. It was amazing to see those two sets side by side. Big plus for me on the SK9000 was for $1600 I get Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The speakers on this TV are the best TV speakers I have ever heard. Outstanding which really surprised me. The 4K image is fantastic (I also purchased a LG UBK90 4K player). Blurays upscaled look equally fantastic. I won't even bother upgrade all my blurays just select favorite titles to actual 4K discs.
Navigation is a breeze on this TV as is the set up. I did online settings for picture and love the image. It looks just like it did in the store. I'm coming from a love of my Panasonic Plasma with deep blacks. The SK9000 has incredible blacks. I watched a 4K episode of Season One Stranger Things where the character was small in the middle of the screen surrounded by black and it was pure plasma like black. Could not be happier. Stunning colors. Upscaling is great. Over the air broadcasts even looks better. I'm using an Xbox One (original not an S or X) and game play looks fantastic with no lag. Sports (NFL Football) is really fun to watch on this. On screen navigation is easy, quick, and responsive. A useful variety of picture settings helps to customize your inputs. Streaming is great.
The stand is great. Small footprint. One of the few 65" TVs that would fit on my existing stand (previously used for a 50" plasma TV). Removing the TV from the box and setting it up is very easy but does require two people due to the size. So if that is an issue for you then I would suggest paying the extra to have Best Buy do it.
The only downside I found was LG's customer service. I went to register the TV from the web address on the warranty card. When I typed it into my browser, a different address popped up. I called LG customer service to find out if the new address is a legitimate LG registration address since it wasn't on the warranty card. LG refused to give me that information unless I gave them all my personal details (name, phone, etc). I told them I simply wanted to know if the registration address is actually an LG address. You would have thought I was asking for the keys to Area 51. They refused. I said, I will simply take the TV back for a refund and get a Samsung if they can't confirm the warranty registration web address. Upon hearing this, the LG Representative, did not care if I was taking the TV back and going with a Samsung. At that point, I hung up, called back for a 2nd rep and explained what had happened with the first rep. He then asked what web address without needing my personal information. So I was finally able to confirm the web address is LG's even though it is different from the one on the warranty card. 2nd rep never apologized for how the first rep handled the question. LG came close to losing a customer over something that should have been very simple for customer service to have responded to. Pretty stupid of LG to act that way over a simple question concerning registering your new TV at Christmas time. LG needs to talk to their customer service phone reps (and replace a few) or they will lose customers.
LG customer service gets an F and LG SK9000 TV gets an A+.
Great TV. If you love movies or gaming in 4K with Dolby Atmos sound you won't be disappointed.
