I stalked this set online for 4 months reading every review. Should I keep it traditional and get a set with agitator and manual water level, or should I get with the times and get one that senses how much water your clothes need? Those were my questions.
Well, I first bought a Maytag that sensed water level and whaddya know, it didn't sense the blanket that I put in there! I had to run it on spin to get the water out twice. I sent it back the next day.
I proceeded to make my weekly visit to the laundromat for another 2 months after this experience and then finally decided to go ahead and buy the GE set. Good thing I made the choice when I did, it was like a week before this whole COVID-19 shutdown fiasco. It was delivered and setup for me.
It makes the cutest little sound when it's starting the cycle. I can control the water level- I love this the most. It has a loud end cycle alert but guess what? You can choose to not have an end of cycle dryer alert.
Clothes come out clean, the spin cycle is not loud. Dryer has several settings.
I'm happy and the price was reasonable.
