These are awesome

Now lets start off by saying i bought the older model, some years ago, which are more powerful than the 1s currently available.
I am disabled so i have an awesome gaming rig that i built in my bedroom,w/a 2k 144Hz G-Sync monitor,i wanted something to compliment my set up,and wow did these do the job, crisp clear sound, tons of bass,it gets a bit boomy if set to high, but not enough to deduct a star.Just by listening to them you can tell they are THX certified and made by Klipsch,a winning combination, easy hook up,and the longevity is awesome,i forget how long ive had them for now,but they get played at least 8 hrs a day,as i play audibles all night to help me sleep, and there have been zero issues. Some complain about the knobs going bad,TBH i seldom use them s you can control everything you need to through your computer,so you find your sweet spot and never have to touch them again. From audio books,to music,to movies,to talk shows and of course for gaming, these speakers do it all and do it very well, you know you have a good old set if they have orangeish gold Klipsch logos on them, the newer 1 do not,nor are they still THX certified, which means a lot.
Overall i honestly dont think you can get a better speaker package for your computer than this, and i have tried 5 different sets, before spending 200 bucks when i finally bought them,so if youre looking, just get them and you will be very happy you did.

these are decent mid level speakers, above entry level, but still not top level, and the description needs to be changed as these do not have titanium tweeters in them, but instead have aluminum 1s,i returned these and moved up to the complete RP series w/15" sub,i could give you all speaker specs if asked, but trust me,for the price level you will not get a higher end system than these, the sub hits lows of 18Hz,which is unheard of for a well under $1k sub,the whole front bottom of it is a port for releasing all the air pressure, which is more than strong enough to blow out a match at 1/2 power.pay less now and upgrade down the line,or spend a bit more once and never have to upgrade-if you put this next to the RP-51M you will instantly hear the difference-again too, these do not have titanium tweeters in them,i wouldnt have returned if they did.
Always be sure to give your speakers proper burn in time before cranking the volume.

Beautiful Bookshelf Speakers
By Janine from Phoenix, AZ
These Klipsch Reference Series R-51M - 5-1/4" 340-Watt Passive 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers not only look elegant and modern, but will most assuredly compliment your home’s other electronics decor. Yet it is their impressive performance which delivers all you could ask for from this type of speaker component.
Klipsch’s bookshelf speaker’s incredible acoustics boasts dynamic natural sound, and powerful bass. Their Tractrix Horn technology brings forth rich, vibrant tones. The titanium tweeter on these Klipsch speakers handles high-frequency distortion well - softer sounds are clear, while the louder sounds are strong and true.

Tweeter
September 24, 2018
the tweeter on these re aluminum not titanium-this is right from Klipshs website-the first paragraph under the price of these speakers, you have to step up to the RP series or above for titanium tweeters, which make a huge difference-these are mislabeled in their desrciption
"Leveraging a 1" aluminum tweeter matted to our proprietary Tractrix horn-loaded technology - the R-51M bookshelf speaker delivers incredible acoustics to fill your home with loud, crystal-clear sound and robust bass that no ordinary bookshelf speaker can."
I run the best and biggest of the RP series,I bought these first, and upgraded the next day,i knew even after burn in i would not be happy with them,it was an expensive upgrade that took me a few months to find the best prices, but is well worth the time and money,w/my 70" TV its like being at the theater, the base of the R-115SW at 1/2 power w/the RP-280Fs bi wired it shakes my whole house and outside decks,i have the RP-504C for my center and RP-250S for rears, havent went to atmos yet as will need a 9 channel receiver,or 11 if the price is right,im in no hurry,i have the sony UBP-X800 UHD disc player-just incredible,a sony 7.2 AVR so all blends in real well together, way more power than ill ever need or use,but its there if i want it.Im just saying this because i believe in paying a bit more the first time, than wanting to upgrade down the road, the only 2 or 3 things i will add is a new AVR,middle surrounds and Atmos speakers, which are made to fit right on top of the RP-280Fs.It is the best sounding system you will get at this price range, the next step up is huge, too big for me.

I highly doubt it sounds like dirt, but you will pay at least 100 bucks more to step up into the RP series,i own the RP 450C,the 440 isnt much cheaper, this 1 is ported and has an aluminum tweeter instead of titanium, not that big of a difference i doubt, but to be honest i have not listened to it,but i highly doubt it sounds like dirt.

did you do a search to find the cheapest price on this??? BB will price match most major online sellers-yes even Amazon, and if you consider this splurging, you are looking at the wrong components for your system,or you will be splurging on the rest of your system too-if you dont go w/the same quality speakers, your sound imaging will not be very good

These are not close wall mountable because they are rear ported for more bass response, and to let displaced air in and out, that is why there are no keyholes, know what you are buying, there is no way you should leave a 1 star review for your mistake.

Best Buy recommended this in my $2,600 set up
By BravadAurora from Dallas, TX, USA
This receiver can not handle volume past 50 without shutting down. I went with the Klipsch set up in store and the rep had me buy this. Now weeks later trying to figure out if it was a short in the speaker wire I find out that this receive is too weak for my set up. Who would have thought $600 does not go that far on a receiver.

Houston i think you have a problem
November 24, 2018
If 110watts @ 8 ohms is not enough power to drive your $2600 Klipsch speaker set up you have an issue,i have the biggest and best of the Klipsch RP series, and an older Sony AVR pushing well under 110 watts @ 8 ohms, and it powers them just fine,i honestly cant listen to it at to high of volume as it is just too loud, and thats driving 2 RP280Fs,RP450C and RP 250Ss,i also run 2 R115SWs,but they are powered so they just take a signal,no power. The BB rep was not wrong to recommend this AVR,it will power my set up without a problem, and i have more than $2600 into my speakers, not that price matters, but Klipsch speakers are very efficient, and dont take a lot of power to sound good and get very loud,so you have a wiring issue or a set up issue,do not blame the receiver unless it is defective,Ive been building and installing home theater systems since the mid 90s and have never had an amp that would not power my speakers, even 1s w/much less power.

Boommm
By sollyp from Atlanta, GA
My family and I love good audio systems. We love having a great home theater system and adding these to them was a good decision. I have used these for music (from Beethoven to Drake), gaming (Overwatch), and movies. These sound awesome and add good clean, tight bass.
I was honestly concerned that 10" would be too small for my home theater, but these can still fill the room! Now it definitely doesn't have the OOMPH of a 12" or 15" but man I was blown away by how open they sound. I think they work well with any system. I do think that the 10" puts out a cleaner bass compared to the 12" so you have to weigh the pros and cons of having more of that sweet OOMPH or having tighter bass. If you live in an apartment or other living situation then definitely these are as high as I would go. I would definitely go in and try to listen and compare the choices if you have the chance because they're obviously not for everyone.
They look beautiful. I don't even put the grills on them because man they look great. They have that modern feel and definitely makes my setup look elegant.
So these are not quite as powerful as the older brother R120SW with the 12 inch. If you really want more explosive sound, you really can't go wrong with the the R120SW. However, these are still very good and produce excellent sound. All in all, I think these are a great addition to any home theater/audio system.

these are really good
December 6, 2018
these are really good subs, you just cant beat Klipsch, but tbh,if you really want the best in bass you have to step up to the RP series, which that sub would be an R110SW,the R10SW does not hit the lows like the R110 will by 14Hz,but what does this mean??? it means that it will put out bass @ 18Hz,which is below what you can hear,so you feel it not just hear it,the price difference is well worth it.But you are very happy with what you have, which is a great sub,if you have the room i would advise getting 1 or 3 more,it will remove dips and peaks in the bass output and give you a cleaner fuller bass than 1 will put out.I personally have 2 R115SWs,adding the second 1 was a huge gain in my HT,if your AVR has 2 sub outputs (5.2 or 7.2or 9.2 etc),use them,or you can tee off a single output to a second sub,i am not knocking your system at all, some people dont realize there is a step above the R series, the RP (Reference Premier) and as i stated they are worth every penny as are the R series,if you ever have the desire to upgrade, you cant go wrong.

Massive disappointment
By Splatterpunk from Columbus, OH, USA
Being a huge fan of King's book series, I was looking forward to a faithful adaptation for years. As soon as Akiva Goldsman and Ron Howard got involved, my hopes plummeted. Creative visionaries, they are not. After many fits and starts, what we eventually got was a boiled down, modestly budgeted actioner that makes more poor choices than correct ones.
What works:
Locations and sets. In the special features, director Nikolaj Arcel discusses how they wanted to present landscapes we hadn't seen before to illustrate Mid-World. The cliffs where Roland and Jake first meet are beautifully photographed and are used effectively. Also, the abandoned theme park is suitably aged and ominous. Finally, the sequences in and around NYC are engaging and flavor what unfortunately feels like a small scale film.
The hints at the larger mythology. The Sombra Corporation branding, the Horn of Eld, the Crimson King graffiti, and the ties to the shared universe all brought a smile to my face, even if they aren't used nearly enough.
What doesn't work:
Nearly everything else. The most egregious aspects are the script, the action sequences, and the score. It was a major mistake to try and melt eight books into a single coherent story. This, to me, indicates a lack of confidence in the material. Several times in the special features, it's mentioned how "difficult" everyone involved felt an adaptation would be. I'm sure it was difficult to figure out a Reader's Digest version of this sprawling, complex, and epic story. Maybe you should've planned something along the lines of a trilogy of films with runtimes more befitting epic storytelling. Instead you hedge your bets and try to wrap up nearly everything in ninety minutes. Ugh. The climactic action sequence is boring and borderline silly. Never mind that Roland is portrayed as being some sort of superhumanly skilled shooter. And the music. THE MUSIC. Instead of melancholy notes, or something approaching Morricone like spaghetti supremacy, we get a bland, rousing, and ultimately forgettable soundscape. Sigh.
While the 4K presentation is definitely impressive, and I admittedly got a charge from seeing a few of the Ka Tet (though not all, for some reason... I wanted Oy, dangit!), and I honestly enjoyed a few aspects of the movie, THE DARK TOWER is a crushing disappointment to this fan. What a massive missed opportunity this was to appropriate a shared cinematic universe and create a new beloved franchise. In almost every way, the opposite approach of what should've been done is employed. I'll probably pop this in from time to time and maybe I'll eventually enjoy it despite its many flaws (like I do with Lynch's DUNE), but right now I weep for what could've been. Here's to hoping we get a proper adaptation or a Game of Thrones style TV show sometime in the future. I will say that Best Buy's exclusive steelbook is very nice to look at, though!

An awesome review
January 29, 2019
This is a very in depth review-say thankee-I have been reading this series since it's been in print,I remember reading them over and over waiting up to 10ish years waiting for the next 1 to be released, yes I paid over $50 for them in hard cover hot off the presses. So I have followed all the possibilities of films being made,I was very excited when they were talking about releasing a movie a year and having filler episodes on HBO,but sadly that did not happen,I cannot believe that this hasn't been done that way,it is so very worthy of it,I would even pay for the filler episodes while waiting on the next film, maybe someone will see its true merit.Back on point, while following events,I was so excited when they finally announced that they were doing a movie-----and then I saw their casting choice for Roland and being such a hardcore DT fan,I knew there was no way they could make a film even close to the books, over half of Dettas dialogue would never be heard and that was her character. So I thank you for confirming what I had pretty much figured would be the case for as I said a very well written review.I personally will never watch it,even when it's released for TV,which shouldn't be long lol.Long days and pleasant nights Sai Splatterpunk.
