Issues from flawed installation but 3rd visit fine

The first Maytag was defective in that it would not emerge from sensing mode more than half the time. Not the installers fault. The exchange was not balanced and shook/banged loudly. The crew that did the exchange was in too big a rush, obviously focused on getting out even though they were about one hour earlier than the start of the time window. They looked unclean too. So another crew came and balanced the machine properly and they were everything I would have expected. 3rd try was the charm. Too many calls to get things right. And they changed my appointment time without asking. My high rating below is only for the final 9-1-2020 installation

For a bit more than rubber hoses you get peace of mind. Those hoses are under a fair amount of pressure. Why risk having your own private deluge. It happens. So it's like buying insurance.

1st Defective; 2nd-A whole lotta shakin going on!

The first one would stall on sensing mode before it would start more than half the time. Sometimes it bwould say in sensing mode over an hour! Often it would never start unless I would override. Sensing mode determines how much water is needed. If you have to override sensing mode the max amount of water is always used = not very efficient. I wasn't willing to keep something defective out of the box. Replacement did not stall in sensing mode ( or at least not often) but it was not leveled correctly ( probably did not tighten lock nuts on the feet according to BB). So as Jerry Lee Lewis once said there is a whole lot of shakin goin on! The installers seemed to be in a big big rush even though they arrived over an hour before my 12-6 PM window. So after about 6 more days they sent out different guys to level it properly. Seems better so far but only a few days have passed.

A good pick without paying an exorbitant price for quicker charging time. But still could be less expensive. Charging two devices at once is nice, esp. important while on vacation. Quick iphone charging is important to us so we have two of these. Long term durability remains to be seen.

Will the washing machine installer set up the new washing machine on my existing pedestal?
One installer told me they don't do that. So I offered him more money but measurements showed the Maytag would not fit on Whirlpool pedestal. However tech support told me they routinely do this whether or not you buy the pedestal from them. Charge is only $50 and some locals wanted as much as $200. Make sure you keep the transport bolts if you might never need this done. ( Yes you have to ask!!!!) The bolts must be in before turning the machine on its side to attach the pedestal. Finally if you have to buy the pedestal the price is outrageous - almost $300 for the Maytag one and hard to find at a substantially discounted price.

No level check until I insisted – and still the level was off. not sure if best buy cares – because they don’t allow you to review the installation Newly bought duct was all squeezed despite the install instructions not to do it
While my first Washer was defective the replacement was not leveled properly and shook and banged loudly during midcyle. The crew was in a big rush and appeared to level only one leg. Next crew that came back leveled it right. You will see many complaints about not leveling in reviews and tech support was well aware of the problem suggesting install error before I finished describing all this.
