This movie is great in a 4k format, buy physical. There are no comparisons to owning a disc versus streaming it. No color banding , no pixelation from speed throttling and no one is going to come to your house and take it away from you.

This soundbar is a great purchase even at full MSRP. But luckily for me I caught it on sale for half off. Upgrading from a $130 soundbar it is a night and day difference that in a lot of ways competes on a similar level as when I had a full tower setup. Smart tech integration is a fantastic feature and is the easiest way to basically add a Chromecast audio to your living room. Take the time and get familiar with the features and be sure to calibrate your room audio.

I have a new 65' OLED TV, and contemplating purchase of LG SP8YA sound bar. I would like to be able to get Dolby Atmos. It seems the recommendation is that I use optical cable, rather that HDMI eARC. Which cable is best? Included? Thanks. TomG
Arc is a superior experience to optical. Especially if Dolby Atmos is the goal. The tones are more rich and more data can pass through.
Fyi. There is always the option of rear speakers where you will definitely appreciate the extra bandwidth.
Be sure that you are using newer HDMI cables. HDMI 2.0-2.1 is recommended to future proof your setup a bit.

Can I put the sound bar a couple of inches above the TV and still get optimal performance? See area directly above the TV in the attached photos. There's not enough room in front of the TV to accommodate the 4.7 inch depth of the sound bar
If doing so make sure to run the soundbar calibration is the app settings. A lot of the magic happens from bouncing the sound off the ceiling. So it could depend on the height of of your ceiling.
The biggest issue I would have is where the front speakers are firing and where your head is. If it is sitting above your head you, it is going to make a difference than if it is directed towards you.

If I connect the LG 3.1.2 Soundbar to my LG UP7670 television, will the volume be controlled by my TV remote or will I have to use the included remote? Or maybe better stated, will the Soundbar volume sync with the volume of my tv?
