So the menu system takes some work to get used to. I came from another Panasonic system so I was already primed for that. It captures amazing video. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the footage. The only thing I would complain about is that, after a few months of light usage, the lcd display hinge is a bit wobbly. It's wobbly enough to cause me a bit of fluster when preparing for shots in motion.

Have realistic expectations

I got this mainly to develop content, & I've followed VR closely for many years, so I was fairly aware of what to expect. Did not purchase this for entertainment purposes. That said, I did experience a couple of brief "wow" moments where my spatial awareness was unexpectedly lost to VR. So...expectations. The picture is going to be pretty fuzzy. The fresnel lenses are likely to "smudge" parts of your vision. Color reproduction is not amazing. Generally the unit is going to be slightly less comfortable than a snorkeling mask. However, IT'S PRETTY COMFORTABLE, all things considered. And if you allow yourself to acclimate to the "quality level" things can get pretty interesting. CGI looks a whole heck of a lot better than captured footage so far, in my experience. But honestly, nothing about this unit is awful. Oculus is releasing something similar and perhaps quite a lot better in just a few months. I'd definitely wait for that next evolution if it's going to be an either or choice.

First off, these are the first pair of headphones of any sort that I have used in many years that do not cause me physical ear pain due to pressure, design, etc. They don't cause me any pain whatsoever. They fit spectacularly. Sound wise: I had read a number of reviews that were very critical of the sound quality of these Airpods. I think they sound fantastic. I like the way they were designed to sound. Nothing harsh about it what so ever. And if I want more bass or richness, etc., I can either push them in tighter or buy an aftermarket fitting kit.
