Hi Do I need to add the watch to my cell plan in order to receive calls and texts?
No, you can Bluetooth it to your phone to receive/send texts or calls. ONLY if you don't want to carry your phone with you do you need a data plan. If your phone is always with you, Bluetooth will work just fine. Data plan is required when phone is out of Bluetooth range
