I bought this as gift (with my wife) for my parents. They had an outdated 2008 Vizio 55'. I've been reading and watching reviews on TCL and thought I give it a shot. While the screen is very nice, and it's a good size for a 55' tv, I was impressed......BUT, there are some things I did not take into account.
1. You can't set up your bluetooth through the tv itself if it isn't a TCL product.
2. The screen mirroring is a little bit wonky, haven't been able to connect my dad's Surface Pro to the tv.
3. The headphones when connected through the Roku, is very limited. It will cut out when he connects to his cable box.
Overall it's a good tv, it's not a Samsung, LG, Sony or even a Vizio, but it's good. He his happy with the tv. My hope is that TCL will have an update to make connections to the TV directly much easier.
