Awesome OLED but beware of vertical banding issue

This TV has an excellent picture especially using 4K Dolby Vision discs played from a dedicated 4k player. As it is an OLED, you should be watching this in a darker room (OLED don't get bright enough to handle ambient light). I have had no burn in issues after over a year of heavy use. However, I did start to see vertical banding happening after about a year though this may have been caused by its pixel refresher process it does after like 2000 hours (or you can run it yourself). However, the vertical banding appears to get better over time and it is only noticeable with very dark grayish scenes or scenes with heavy noise or film grain (especially when panning). This does appear to be an OLED Achilles heel. But overall, this has been a fantastic tv.

Removes water in air from finished basement.

My finished basement gets quite damp air in the summer and makes it quite cold during the summer. This does a great job of removing the water from the air and making the basement comfortable in the summer. I have to empty the tray once per day during the summer. In the winter, it does not need to be run.

DVD upscale and lots of noise

These discs appear to be an upscale of DVDs. They aren't terrible but there is a lot of noise that is not just film grain. They are probably better than DVD but don't expect a crisp picture. At least the blu-rays will be resistant to scratching.

Good sound bar but surround sound system is better

Purchased this for the main open room in my new house to boost the sound quality of my 55" Sony X900E. This set up does a good job for what I wanted as voices are clear and movies/shows are quite good sounding considering this is only 3.1. The DTS Virtual:X is no substitute for even just actual 5. 1 surround sound but does a decent job of separating sounds. The bass is also better than I expected and fills the room. This system was also easy to set up.

Great 4k disc but no IMAX sequences

Very good looking 4k disc with Dolby Vision even though the movie is quite bland with colors. I get why the director probably used film grain ("the ancient future") for this movie but given it's a sci-fi movie I would have preferred no film grain. I'm giving this only 4 stars because the IMAX sequences are not on this disc. Why not include the actual meant to be scene version as well with this version (it's not like we can just go to an IMAX theatre and watch this movie now that its theatrical run is over) or re-release an IMAX version like there is for Batman vs. Superman?

Disappointing but could be worse

This is definitely the worse Nolan 4k disc (though one of his best movies). Idk if it is the source or poor mastery, but there is a ton of black crush in dark scenes (and it’s not because of my settings on my C1 OLED as other discs look incredible). The non-dark scenes did look quite good with HDR and there is a definite increase in detail. Overall, this is likely better than the blu ray but a disappointing experience especially compared to Nolan’s other 4Ks.

I had never seen the Godfather before but I have always heard great things. It’s a bit long and slowly placed but it’s still good (I have only watched the first movie thus far). The restoration and 4K Dolby Vision looks incredible for the majority of the movie (there are some scenes that get too dark) especially for a movie this old.

Good movie but no Dolby Vision again from Disney

Was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Looks great in 4K HDR BUT no Dolby Vision. It appears Disney is intentionally leaving Dolby Vision off their physical media (doesn’t appear that the Marvel films have it either for example except for Spider-Man which is partly Sony) as they probably want you to pay for Disney+ instead. But you won’t get as much detail streaming as you will from physical media.
