After installing all the needed updates for the drivers and such I removed all the Lenovo crap-ware that is installed.
This is running nicely, fast and very reliable.
Keyboard is great, touch pad is better than most other laptops out there and is supporting nice swipe gestures.

Can you assemble this without the tower part? My ceiling is too low. I am not seeing in the images if that is one piece that the other resistor bars are connecting too. Basically, I would not care about the pull-down part.

Not likely, it does however support Optical Audio and that should do the trick nicely too.
