Hands down the best TV I have ever owned. Despite there not being any readily available 8k content I will add that I dislike the fact that there is currently no eArc support for me to experience Dolby Atmos using my Sonos Arc and the AV1 codec is not on my television in order to realize 8k YouTube videos, however, I’m enjoying the immersive nature of this beast. My other TV’s are an LG B8 and a Q7FN. Contrary to what the popular YouTube critics say about 8k not being worth it I’m happy I purchased the TV.

This "Smart" TV is by far a massive let down. The TV itself looks great when it works right... but it has never worked for us.
Issues:
1) Netflix support does NOT work - your picture will strobe red-pink consistently. This is a manufacture problem shipped on all Q800 TV's.
2) ARC sound is robotic/choppy at times and we've isolated it back to the TV it self.
3) The TV overheats and shuts off or dims consistently after 5 minutes of use.

This $7K TV is the WORST TV I've ever bought. Not only do none of the features work, it sometimes shuts off after about 10 minutes of use and continually Dims after about 5 minutes of use. This TV is CRAP and I am returning it ASAP.
DO NOT BUY THIS TV. IT IS TERRIBLE.

Before you return it can you confirm that the Q800T is capable of displaying YouTube 8K content? I’m under the impression that the AV1 codec that is missing from the Q900R is on the Q800T.

Color is vibrant. Upscaling to 8k works well. I have had problems with streaming services with the high activity with stay at home usage.
Fine Tuning for the best color and picture takes time. The cost is still on the high side.
I Added a Samsung Q symphony Soundbar (Q80) to the system supplementing the TVs speakers for a much rich sound. Plan on adding Q Symphony.

Thanks for posting your review. Are you able to access the Youtube app and confirm that the TV has the proper codec to display 8K? Search for a video called Ghost Towns in 8k and check the settings to see if the output is 8k. I own last years 8K model the Q900RB and a bit upset that my television doesn’t have the codec to output native Youtube 8k. Hope to read your response.
