In 1979 some young filmmakers set out to make an adult film in rural Texas, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast members find themselves fighting for their lives.

Another hit from A24. A slow burn horror movie that involves the making of a dirty movie. Some scenes will make you uncomfortable but that is the point. Must see for Grindhouse appreciators.

Who knew this movie would ignite something in Tom Cruise to give everything to the franchise. Brian De Palma directs a classic espionage film in his style of course.
The Marvel hero's outrageous fourth solo adventure finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) understandably surprised when cancer-battling ex Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) reenters his life, armed with his beloved hammer Mj~lnir and imbued with the powers of the Thunder God himself. As the ruthless Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) begins destroying all of the universe's deities, can Thor, Jane, and pals Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Korg (a motion-captured Taika Waititi) defeat him? 118 min. Probably one of the better films of MCU’s Phase 4. Not as good as Ragnarok but still decent. Christian Bale as Gorr was great but wasn’t used to full potential. Jokes that you’ll probably miss because there’s a lot.

Daniel Craig is excellent in his last Bond film. Great action and Hans Zimmer delivers a pounding musical score. Rami Malek as the villain is ok, it’s Craig that you came to watch.

Director Denis Villeneuve takes you on ride in thriller. Emily Blunt and Bencio Del Toro deliver great performances about this dark, grey world we live in.

Tarantino directs another home run tackling the War genre. His dialogue sucks you in feeling tense with the opening scene and one that takes place in a bar. Lt. Aldo Raine and Hans Landa easily top ten Tarantino characters.

Al Pacino and Director Brian De Palma back again a decade after Scarface. Al plays Carlito who just got out of prison and wants to leave the gangster life. Best scene is a train ride from one station to another.
In Prohibition-era Chicago, federal operative Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) drew the duty of breaking the bootlegging operations that allowed Al Capone (Robert de Niro) to rule the town... and to that end, he recruited a squad of agents who were determined, incorruptible-and untouchable. Brian de Palma's blazing, atmospheric crime story, inspired (like the classic '60s TV series) by Ness' memoir, co-stars Charles Martin Smith, Andy Garcia, Patricia Clarkson, and Best Supporting Actor Academy Award-winner Sean Connery. 119 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English DTS 6.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 EX, French Dolby Digital 5.1 EX, Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 EX; Subtitles English (SDH); French, Spanish.

My second favorite film by Brian De Palma. He directs a instant classic crime story that’s very Hitchcockian. Kevin Costner and Sir Sean Connery as the leads go up against Al Capone played by Robert De Niro. Musical score by the late great Ennio Morricone is stellar. Best scene is takes place at a train station and I’ll leave it at that.
