Only @ Best BuyEasily connect a 3.5mm mini audio device to an RCA audio device with this Insignia NS-HZ503 3.5mm mini-to-RCA stereo audio cable, which features a 6' length for versatile placement options.
I need to connect a cassette tape deck to my PC to digitize some old tapes. Is this the correct cable? I'd like to have stereo recording. Do I need any driver software? Do you plug the 3.5 mini into the microphone input on the PC or the speaker input?
Software: yes! Driver update for soundcard with an actual input slot for 3.5 mini on this cable. Additionally, some kind of sound / music editor to split, clean and enhance the audio input or the tracks will be incoherent run-on messes. I have personally gone through this process about ten years ago. Hmm, come to think of it, unless these tape have unique songs / recordings on them, I would skip this process altogether and simply download each song in its digital form.
