The smart features are great and make this TV a joy to use , light years ahead of the early Samsung smart TV s, auto program for local digital stations, when attached to Wi-Fi you get extra channels with the tuner. It has a built in channel guide, it will take a little while to learn how to use its many features.

can you change the color of background and the buttons?
No, this is a very basic unit. I returned it for a much better unit for just $50 more at Best Buy. The Pioneer DMH-2660NEX is a unit that you can change the color of the controls and many more features I would highly recommend the DMH-2660NEX unit, I am very pleased with that unit.

Where is the button located to activate the screen?
The upper Right button when you are holding the tablet with the camera at the top and the outlet plug for the USB cable at the bottom is called "The Power" button. The "Power Button" will activate the screen if the display has gone dark and the tablet is still "On". so if you have set the screen to turn off the display after a certain time. (see attached picture)

I want to install the eufy 2c Pro which comes with two cameras and a base. Will that base for two able to add the third camera? If I purchase two doorbells, does each doorbell come with its own recording tower?

All the mountings I see in the pictures are on a wall. This makes no sense to me. It would be much easier to mount from an overhead such as under an eve. Can this unit be mounted from over head?
Not really, the mount is for a wall the swivel part would not accommodate the angle for proper aiming for viewing. If you are looking for a camera for a ceiling mount I would recommend Solo outdoor Cam C22. It has a setting for ceiling mount and can be adjustable in very small increments to get a great view of areas you need to watch. Very easy to mount and you add a Micro SD card for onboard storage. It acts independently and doesn't need a home-base like these cameras. But the eufy application displays all cameras added and can be easily accessed and viewed. So you can add different cameras for different locations and requirements.
