Stay away from Insignia refrigerators

This refrigerator will fail. It only comes with a 1 year warranty. They use cheap jiaxipera compressors that don't last. The part wont be available if it does fail within warranty and youll be stuci waiting 30 days before the matter is escalated. It's not worth the hassle. All the good reviews are brand new units that actually work the first few weeks. The best part is if you go back to Best Buy to purchase a new refrigerator they won't wave the $30 fee to haul away your old Insignia french door refrigerator thats 2 years old and failed that was purchased at BestBuy. After reading other reviews it seems lucky it lasted that long. Look up the previous model Insignia 26.6 french door refrigerator and all of the issues. I doubt anything changed other than ice and water dispenser located on the door now.

Install was quick and easy. I did find a bottle of leak test fluid (essentially soapy water) after they left. Not sure if the used one and dropped an extra one from their pocket or if they never did that step. Used it myself to test the connections and everything was good. 4 stars for quick and easy, but maybe take an extra minute or two to be gentle and careful.

The primary guy was good. The second guy tried to initially grab my old washer lines, when I purchased new ones for the install. Quickly rectified before they even made it to the washer by the primary installer. They did slide my old washer across my polished concrete floor creating a mark on the surface which is the reason for 3 stars. Other than that things went well.

This Insignia French door refrigerator features an internal water filter, supplying crisp, clean water for drinks and ice.
Where can I purchase a new compressor for this refrigerator? Was brand new and went out after 2 years and the Insignia customer support isn't any help. Can't afford to buy a brand new refrigerator every 2-3 years. Anyone else reading... AVOID Insignia!
