OK if you're fine with backlight bleeding.

IPS glow and backlight bleeding around the edges. At around $3,000 after tax, this is not acceptable to me. Also, the plastic bezel was cheap and loose in spots, particularly where the backlight bleeding was (left side, bottom). Dell needs better QC for a high ticket item like this.
Aside from the screen, which seems like a cost cutting measure, the rest of the computer was well built, especially the keyboard, which was best-in-class.
The laptop is huge and takes 2 power supplies (it comes with
330W and 180W power bricks). I was a bit surprised by the dual power bricks, which does limit setup/portability options. This is really a desktop replacement.

In the end, the poor screen quality/QC let me to return this.

Backlight Bleed

Don't do it.
FIRST: As other reviewers have stated, there is going to be some backlight bleed on the edges. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of how much. You're better off going for the Sony X750H which is a much better TV without backlight bleeding issues for roughly the same price.
SECOND: The plastic trim on the lower lift corner was cracked when received. It's already a little raised on the corner, so there's stress in the design to begin with.
Overall, the 2020 Samsung line is a DOWNGRADE from prior years. Basically, the 2020 8 Series is comparable to the 2019 7 Series, and so the trend goes throughout the line. Ended up going with Sony and MORE than happy with it.

- Beautiful screen. Honestly, probably the best OLED screen I've seen on a laptop, especially at this price point. It can get bright. Great contrast with vivid colors.
- Benchmarks consistently beat baseline averages on all tests.
- I know some mention heat issues, but I've had no such issues using this in a typical home/office setting.
- Cool lighting system.
- Large, high-quality touchpad.
- Top-notch metal construction with a classic understated design.

Another thing to add, is the sound card is incredible. It's a Realtek chip and simply identified as "Realtek High Definition Audio", but nevertheless, it makes my Audio-Technica MSR-7b shine!

This is seriously pretty cheap if you do the price match. The 3070 has more than 100w in this model and 360hz screen is sweet. The only thing I would complain is the fan noise. The fan sounds like a desperate woman screaming. Overall, I would suggest this laptop, even though the performance is not Alienware’s strength, the outlook of this laptop is sick.
