Despite some incredibly subpar cgi moments (Thor: Love and Thunder bad) and the most obvious controversy, The Flash is a well done CBM with its stellar cast (Miller, Keaton, Calle), fast paced runtime, charming humor, dazzling cinematography, and captivating storytelling that can stand as its own.
Overbearing foodie Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) whisked unimpressed last-minute date Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) to an exclusive, $1250-a-head seating at the island bistro of imperious celebrity chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes). As the evening progresses, though, it becomes apparent that the cunning culinarian will be serving his one-percenter patrons courses of mental and physical cruelty-culminating with just desserts. Savory satirical suspenser also stars Hong Chau, John Leguizamo, Janet McTeer, Judith Light. 107 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

The Menu is probably the most unpredictable movie I’ve seen in a while. This thriller is filled tension and super dark comedy moments and it’s wonderfully carried by the amazing, Anya-Taylor Joy, the charismatic, Nicholas Hoult, the menacing, Ralph Fiennes, and the rest of the cast as well (one of the best ensembles in a film of the year). Overall, this is a brilliant satire on the food industry and class warfare.

This film doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. It’s a great tribute to John Carpenter, it focuses on the essence of evil and how it infects the community, and trauma healing. This film will be appreciated in the years to come
Scare-packed fifth entry in the infamous horror film series follows unkillable killer Michael Myers as he continues his bloody rampage. But can the psychic link he shares with his young niece, Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris), provide the key to ending his scourge once and for all? Donald Pleasence, Ellie Cornell, Beau Starr, and Donald L. Shanks also star. 96 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Subtitles English. Two-disc set.

Move over, Freddy and Jason, because Michael Myers is coming back! After spending 10 years in a prison asylum, Michael escapes and heads for the town where his bloody killing spree took place in order to find-and most assuredly attempt to murder-his own niece, Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris). Donald Pleasence, Ellie Cornell, Michael Pataki, Beau Starr, and George P. Wilbur co-star. 88 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Subtitles English. Two-disc set.

I love the visuals, the score, the darker storylines in this film. Even after everything that happened in the film, Wanda’s still my favorite MCU character.

Not only do I love this movie (it’s the ultimate slasher) but I prefer this 4K Steelbook design over the original design that came out back in January.
The one-time bane of nearly every critic in America, the blood-soaked first film in the franchise has gone on to cult classic status. Decades after the drowning death of adolescent Jason Voorhees and the barn murders of a pair of young lovers, scenic Camp Crystal Lake reopens. Now the place is crawling with campers and young, naive, S*x-hungry counselors... and a maniacal killer! And just what is the deal with this Jason kid? Adrienne King, Betsy Palmer, Kevin Bacon, Ari Lehman star. 95 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks English Dolby TrueHD 5.1, Dolby Digital mono, French Dolby Digital mono, Spanish Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles English (SDH), French, Spanish; audio commentary; featurettes; behind-the-scenes footage.
