I'm trying to find large capacity external drive for play station 4, can I use this permanently connected to ps4 to replace the 500g internal drive? Thanks...
It wont replace the internal drive, but will be an added option to store games or media on.
I have mine hooked up to my Xbox one. In the xbox setting as well as ps4 you can choose where you would like your games to be stored either on the eternal drive or external. You would choose to store games on your external drive.
This device will work great.
If you can spend more money I recommend going with an SSD for a little bit more boot/write speed for launching and downloading games.\
As far as storage size I recommend 1TB at the least.
Once you buy the product and connect it to your ps4/Xbox one

Will it work for my HP PAVILION 23 inches DeskTop computer or is it only for the Laptop??? Which one is better WD My Book or WD easy store? Thank you
Yes both products will work with your desktop computer.
They are both really great products. Which one is better depends on your needs.
What are you wanting to store on the device?
How many GB or TB do you need?
Do you want something easily portable ?
My recommendations.
If your looking to back up your entire system and/or Password protect your files. I would recommend the WD My Book.
If your looking to for something to save movies,pictures,documents ect.. I would recommend the WD easy store.
Both devices offer the exact same thing as far as Speed,System backup, software to do so, Password protection and Copying or storing files.
Really it depends on your needs and portability, as the WD My Book ("depending on size" ) not only has to connect to your PC but requires to be plugged to a wall outlet. Where the East Store only needs the computers USB to operate.
