If your a fan of THPS, then you pretty much know what you’re in for. With the addition of the manual for the first game and the revamped graphics for both 1 & 2, fans of this series and the genre will enjoy this remake.
My only complaint is the fact that Xbox one owners who bought the physical copy of this game when it first came out were forced to rebuy this version in order to play the upgraded version for the Xbox series console. PS4 owners of the original physical version got the upgrade for a few dollars more, but this was not extended to those who bought the physical version on the Xbox one consoles. I hope this isn’t something we have to worry about in the future

In the seven months since the PS5’s launch, insomniac has managed to release 2 AAA titles. Not only is this impressive because of the fact development was during a pandemic, but because these games are 2 of the best games the PS5 has to offer at the moment.
Ratchet and Clank have been around since the PS2 days. Insomniac have always managed to one up themselves with each iteration of the series and this game is no exception. The graphics and gameplay are incredible and shows what this new gen of hardware can do.

An expensive add on you might need to buy

As an owner of the previous Xbox one consoles, it was pretty much a given if you owned a lot of games, had a gold account and/or a game pass subscription you needed more storage than what came with your machine. I myself found an external 5tb hard drive in addition to the 1tb hard drive in the console itself was more than enough space to hold a pretty big library.
Unfortunately, this solution can’t be utilized the same way with the new Xbox Series consoles. The internal hard drive in these new machines are 4th gen M.2 NVME drives that are utilized by Xbox series games due to their speed. This means in order to play enhanced or specific games for the series consoles, they'll need to be installed on the internal hard drive. Since there is only 1tb on the internal hard drive and even less available after updates, you may run out of room quicker than you thought. Even though there’s been an update to store series games on external hard drives and transferring them to the NVME when you’re ready to play it to save time and bandwidth with your isp, it’s still a pain.
Buying this secondary internal storage expands the amount of series games you can store on your machine that are ready to play immediately. The reason is that the NVME that is stored in the series machines is also inside of these expansions(hence why they’re so damned expensive).
Between this and the 5tb external hard drive I was using for the Xbox one x, I should be ok for a while. I just hope a higher capacity (and a far less expensive) option for the expansion slot becomes available in the near future.

This is actually on par price wise when compared to other Gen4 NVME SSDs. I’m not saying that this Seagate product isn’t expensive, but when compared to similar M.2 cards it’s about the same. The reason this card is needed in the first place is because in order for the new Xbox Series consoles to play a game at its highest quality and performance, it needs to be installed in the internal memory of the system to take advantage of the read speeds of theses new Gen4 SSDs.
This expansion card is designed with the same SSD as the internal one making more room to install Series S/X games for immediate team gameplay. You can also buy an external drive for storing any backward compatible games to play directly off of and also for storing series S/X games to load onto the internal SSD to save time over downloading it online.
As far as my personal opinions on this expansion card, I’ve never been a fan of Seagate. In the last 25, the only hard drives that have ever failed me prematurely were Maxtor and Seagate drives. Unfortunately, Microsoft partnered with them to produce the first expansion and we don’t have much of a choice on what can be used. Though, the price for the PS5’s internal expansion will be around the same price, at least you’ll have a choice as to which company to buy from.
If and when Samsung or Western Digital offer an option for the Xbox series X, I’ll be first in line to pick one up. Till then we’re stuck with Seagate

I just got the new Nintendo Switch OLED model - but after playing for an hour ir more my hands severely cramp. I have large hands and this gripad makes playing in handheld mode a dream for people with larger hands. As someone who gave these controllers a good month of usage on an OLED model, I can tell you that these are far from the best “grip pads” Besides only working when connected (no batteries or wireless capabilities) and the lack of motion sensors, the way they sit once slid on each side is off. Not only are they not flush with the front of the screen, they’re angled in the back (probably for ergonomic reasons) making it not sit correctly when docked.
Now if these were priced a lot lower, I could forgive its shortcomings due to the nice buttons, good crossbar and extra programmable buttons underneath the grips. Unfortunately these are pricey and require you to remove them when you want to dock your switch so it can sit straight.
There are better alternatives out there that include most of these missing features and are less expensive. I hope Hori comes up with a better designed alternative that won’t break the bank as I’m normally a fan of their controllers.

All versions of James Cameron's Avatar are here and finally on 4K and I am so happy. I got my copy of this masterpiece yesterday (December 18, 2023 if it doesn't show the date), a day early before it's official release and this casing is phenomenal. I have not watched the full versions yet on my 4K player but it looks and sounds so beautiful. I definitely recommended this version but there is one issue that is a big one I need to relay. So, when you put the 4K in, I do not know if its just my copy but the picture for the home screen of the disc glitches out (my final picture showcases this) and there isn't any sound playing but you are still able to watch the movies and special features. I am concerned about this. I watched 20 to 30 minutes of the films with no issue watching the films but the home screen is still glitchy. There are no issue for the regular Blu-Ray at all.

Is it glitching out on a particular player? Have you tested it on another 4K Blu-ray player or just the one? I’ve got an Oppo, an Xbox series X, a PS5 and a Samsung 4k Blu-ray drive on my PC. I was just curious if it was just glitching out for you on a particular player. Have you tried upgrading your firmware or check to see if your player is allowed to connect online? Some disc menus stream or connect to the manufacturer’s website so maybe that can be what’s causing your issue.

Unfortunately, because they waited too long to come to their senses, the Xbox version will not be available until next year. Fortunately the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was also announced to be released on Xbox as well.

I have an 12 tb wd black external that I use. if I got Seagate FireCuda 2TB SSD USB 3.2 ssd would xbox series x games play on that. or does it have to be on the xbox ssd or this one that is 1 tb ssd.
