Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is truly just one big reunion for Kevin Smith’s films that featured Jay & Silent Bob. So many people reprise their roles in funny and almost heart warming ways. It’s really just one big homage to Smith’s filmography but it’s so fun. A tad bit too ridiculous at times, but it ends up being redeemed by the next scene. Really funny, man.

Robert Eggers’ follow up from his 2015 masterpiece, The Witch (not the VVitch), is truly a marvelously filmed, written, and performed film. One thing I love about Eggers’ films is that the dialogue stays true to the era, making the mood and interactions feel more genuine. The old sailor talk is really one of the best things about this. Willem Dafoe is at his absolute best. Robert Pattinson is wonderful as well. The cinematography in The Lighthouse is absolutely beautiful. But despite all of that, the storyline itself felt a little hard to follow. A lot of imagery was used throughout, imagery that told and reflected certain mythological stories. And those are stories I’m not familiar with, so really it was a tad bit too much for me. Still, one of 2019’s best. Heavily overlooked.

Ari Aster is quickly making his mark as one of the best horror creators on this century. Absolutely wild that he can make one of the best filmed, written, performed, scored, and all around created horror film in general with “Hereditary”, only to some how mirror his craft in an even more diabolical story with “Midsommar”. From the opening you’re drawn in, only to be held close with Florence Pugh’s outstanding performance. It’s a bit long and slow at times, but it picks up perfectly and swiftly becomes more crazy and horrific as the film draws to an end. One of the best films of 2019. Check it out. Definitely watch if you liked Hereditary.

From start to finish I could not stop smiling. I mean yeah there was some tear jerkers but the entire cast, especially Zack Gottsagen, the story, and pacing were so great. Never a dull moment. Even suspenseful at times.

One of the most heart wrenching yet heart warming films I have watched this year. The relationship between Billi and Nai Nai (Awkwafina and Shuzhen Zhao) felt so genuine and soft, which really made the whole plot just even harder to take. It was funny, sweet, sad, and pure.

The third and final installment of Rob Zombie’s trilogy of the Firefly Family. Same atmosphere as the previous two, same characters, and a decent finale for the family. Filled with vulgar talk and kills, and some quick (somewhat lazy) explanations to tie up questions from The Devil’s Rejects. In all, 3 From Hell was a bittersweet film, especially since the death of Sid Haig. Watch to complete the story. Stay for Sid Haig. (Also watch the documentary included in the bonus features to see Zombie’s mind at work while making it. Very entertaining.)

You’re a fan of Tom Holland and Brad Dourif’s original. I know, so am I. Child’s Play up to The Seed of Chucky are some of my favorite movies. You’re used to the serial killer and voodoo used to make Chucky evil and sadistic. I get it, because I am too. Aside from the way Chucky looks in this reboot, the story is absolutely so much fun. It lines up with the times, where technology is advancing, yet this specific Buddi Doll is a bit off. Instead of being evil from the start, Chucky learns and develops into a killer. The deaths are great. Mark Hamill did a wonderful job. Don’t knock it till you try it. I was the same way and walked in mad that they even attempted it. But walked out completely entertained and loving it.
The creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky Addams family is back in a hilarious sequel that finds Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) welcoming new son Pubert into the world, Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) getting hitched to the baby's new conniving nanny (Joan Cusack), and Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) disrupting a happy summer camp. Co-stars Carel Struycken, Carol Kane; directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

The dark humor is back, and this time they threw in a serial killer. Exciting stuff. Wednesday was the best this time around. A little too silly at times, but still a nice follow up.

Dark humor is the best humor, and the Addams Family does it best. Wacky moments that made viewing so much fun. The best character portrayals. Such a good Halloween themed movie for everyone.
Will Ferrel is Ron Burgundy, a top-rated 1970's San Diego anchorman who believes women have a place in the newsroom - as long as they stick to covering fashion shows or late-breaking cooking stories. So when Ron is told he'll be working with a bright young newswoman (Christina Applegate) who's beautiful, ambitious and smart enough to be more than eye candy, it's not just a clash of two TV people with really great hair - it's war! Filled with wicked wit and slapstick humor, Anchorman is the year's most wildly irreverent, must-see comedy hit!

Will Ferrel in his prime. One of the funniest films, a personal favorite of mine. Crude, random, yet it all feels right. The blu-ray packaging for this is amazing for collectors and fans. Even better price.
