While the game is still amazing, It’s Minecraft, what do you expect?, the game is starting to fall behind in terms of updates compared to the other consoles. Microsoft seems to have left the PS4 version behind and is working on the universal phone/console version, which the PS is not getting. While that is disappointing, it doesn’t make what’s here any less enjoyable.

In terms of mini games, SMP has some of the best yet, but in terms of gameplay and board options, it is extremely lacking. For boards, there are only 4 options, all of which are the ‘collect the most stars’ type. As someone who played a ton of MP8 back on the Wii, this game doesn’t come close of offering as many game mode options as 8 did. Hopefully more will be offered in future updates and maybe as dlc.

Great game, but too much item grinding

The actual fighting gameplay is great, but so many skins and even brutalities and fatalities are locked and require hours of grinding in the Towers of Time or other game modes in order to unlock. And there, most unlocks are randomly available to you, so you have no way to make sure you’re always unlocking something for the character you play. But other than that, fun game.
