Weird, wacky apocalyptic absurdist comedy

I saw this movie when it first came out and enjoyed it - even though it is absolutely bonkers and makes little to no sense. I’ve quoted it a lot I’ve the years and still enjoy the performances so I had to pick up the new Blu Ray. It’s so weird and wacky - and it’s hard to tell if it wants to be taken seriously or not. At this point I really enjoy it mostly as an absurdist comedy with little to no point. Definitely worth a watch, although Richard Kelly could easily have cut an hour or so out of it and not lost any of the fun.
