I've had a Manfrotto monopod for the longest time, and it's worked so much better than the $30-or-so plastic tripods that you can find at retailers like Best Buy. So when I finally decided to purchase a tripod, Manfrotto was my preferred brand, and this was the best option that was available through Best Buy in terms of price and ease of usage. I'd say, as long as your DSLR camera is small, and you have a good idea of what the different knobs tighten or loosen, then this is a great choice.

Perfectly acceptable Blu-ray release for this film

Since this Blu-ray was apparently released more than 10 years ago, it may not have all the layout options or even picture quality that we're used to seeing with Blu-ray discs (and even 4K discs), but since the film is a simply fun action movie, I have no reason to be disappointed by this release. Plus, the movie comes with a Disney Movie Insiders (formerly Disney Movie Rewards) code which gets you points to your account, so that's nice too!

Okay Blu-ray, but a funny movie

This Blu-ray was apparently produced before 2010, and so the picture quality, menu layout, etc. isn't as great as it could be. But hey, "My Cousin Vinny" is hilarious, so in my opinion, it's worth the $6.99 I paid for it. (Although I regret not buying it earlier when it was one of those $5.99 movies that Best Buy regularly puts on sale.) But yes, I recommend this movie.

Thank goodness Best Buy had one of these adapters--and who knows, I may end up needing it for other things, and because it's suitable for more than 12V power, it will probably work.

Blu-ray instead of 4K is just fine for this film

"First Man" was shot with a combination of 16mm, 35mm, and 65mm film, using each medium in different sections of the film as the story progress. That basically means that the graininess of the film decreases as the movie goes on. Therefore, the image will be intentionally grainy in the first half of the film, whether you're watching on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, or DVD. So frankly, I'd say that if you only have access to the Blu-ray, it's still well worth your time. Regardless of the visuals, it's a really engaging story and an intimate look at the life of Neil Armstrong. Highly recommend.

If you don't have a 4K player, this works great

Even though the 4K UHD edition of "The Dark Knight" has been released and more widely marketed than its Blu-ray in recent years, if you (like me) don't have a 4K player (yet), this is still pretty solid. One downside, in my opinion, is the fact that the aspect ratio remains anamorphic throughout the film, even though several sequences were shot on taller IMAX film. I'd prefer to see those scenes in the taller format, personally. However, that doesn't change the fact that this film is a masterpiece. Highly recommend it.

My story: I bought one of these drives during a flash sale for $50 or so, which was a great deal... until I accidentally dropped my phone on it, causing it to freeze and then completely crash. Thankfully, everything on the drive was either backed up or expendable, and WD has a great program where you can fill out a form for a replacement, and they will send you one once you mail the original back. So far, it's working just fine, and I've been very careful not to drop my phone or anything else on it! So yeah, it does the job well, but be gentle with it.

I purchased a competing product (Sony) and it would do everything to my liking EXCEPT stream a youtube movie that I paid for. Out of the box this shouldn't be not when my old Blu Ray player does it fine. What does this player do? Everything I hope.
I purchased this player fairly recently and haven’t figured out all the ins and outs yet, but this player definitely has the option of streaming from certain apps like YouTube and Netflix, although it’s not like my Smart TV or Apple TV that has countless options. But it should work for what you want to do.
