This is my first experience with a sound bar, but I am enjoying it very much.
TV speakers have continued to decline as the picture quality has improved and sound bars have become more widely affordable.
I was lucky to find this on sale, and it enhances the TV in an incredible way. I can hear dialogue without blasting the TV. It is like being at a theater.
It was easy to setup. I am not a technology person, and I did it by myself. It took around an hour-ish to unbox everything (the TV too) and set it up.

I have only watched this TV with it's own components and an LG sound bar.
That being said (Curb Your Enthusiasm), it is a fantastic TV. It is the best TV I have owned under $500 and blows my Samsung 7-Series out of the water.
I just moved and will be hooking up my Apple 4K TV with Dolby Vision (combined with my LG sound bar that has Dolby Atmos), and it should be a highly cinematic experience at a lower-cost.
I would love to own an OLED or Vizio P-Series or M-Series Q8, but this is what I could afford and what was available, and it is a great picture and TV.
The remote can be annoying with its pointer-icon, but it is easy to get rid of it by using the circular scroll thing.
It also makes an annoying sound with snow when I turn it on, but I quickly push the home icon, and it brings up the home screen.
I am very happy with this purchase so far.
I have not interacted with LG customer service before, but I hope they take as much care with their customer service as they do with the quality of their TVs and sound bars.

I'm surprised by all the lackluster reviews for this TV. The 50" has 16 local dimming zones. Full-array backlighting. Awesome color technology. A good and solid processor.
The TV is a sleek design and the remote is pretty simple. Movies like Doctor Strange, Batman vs Superman, and any other 4K movie looks incredible. I think this TV also has Dolby Vision and Dolby ATMOS because when I hooked up my apple 4K TV, it seemed like it played content in Dolby Vision and Dolby ATMOS. I could check the specs but a lot of this technology is new to me and this latest TV purchase was a crash course in all the upgraded technology since I bought a TV several years ago.
The home-apps may not have all the apps you want. But if you have an apple TV or amazon fire-stick, I think you can get any apps you want.
I had bought a Samsung 7-Series before this TV. I was so disappointed that I bought this Vizio.
The Samsung 7-Series has a better overall Star-rating, but this Vizio TV is way better. The full-array backlighting makes it better than the Samsung 8-Series (probably but I'm not an expert). Maybe it's just a Samsung or Vizio preference. Very unhappy with my Samsung 7-Series. That's all I know.
I was really happy with the Vizio M-Series (Q7) TV. But it had some dark spots on the screen, and I decided to return it. The box was severely dented when it was delivered by UPS.
Also, none of the UPS drivers wore masks and that made me very uncomfortable. Just wear a mask.
But I am looking forward to the M-Series (Q8) and OLED hopefully coming in the Fall.
Our phones~ screens are the windows to our digital world, and we want a seamless experience as we swipe and type on our Apple iPhone SE 3rd Generation (2022), SE 2nd Generation (2020), 8, 7, 6s or 6. Nothing delivers that experience quite like the ultra-smooth surface of glass. So, we created Glass+ to be able to withstand the rigors of our day-to-day lives and the unexpected.

The directions were clear and easy to follow. I followed the directions and was able to put on my screen protector. It looks like it was done at the store. It comes with a plastic-guide for the placement process.

I owned a VIZIO 1080P Smart TV that required zero maintenance in 6 1/2 years. I have had a Sharp 4K Smart TV for two years that has worked perfectly. Both VIZIO and Sharp are user friendly.
Samsung is high maintenance. That has been my experience after owning it for two months. It looks like a great TV. But something has been wrong with my contrast and colors. I had best buy come out and diagnosis. Then they put in a new part. While also telling me that the real problem was something called "calibration." Calibration is fine tuning. This was a major color and contrast issue. It felt like bad-form on the geek squads part by trying to get me to sign-up for a $250 calibration service. Bad-form geek squad. Fix the issue. Don't sell me something I don't need. My Sharp out of the box is better than my Samsung out of the box. Samsung should be better out of the box. If you want to calibrate it to take it to the next level, then that's a different conversation.
Now that best buy has replaced the part, the TV is still not working. I have to have Samsung techs come out because if you have geek squad work on your Samsung TV, the two entities are not going to communicate to each other. Obviously. So I wasted an entire month by using best buy geek squad. I also bought a 5-year geek squad plan. It feels like more wasted money now.
Anyways, I'm not a Samsung person. But if you are, have Samsung fix your TV under the 1-year warranty plan. Also, ask about calibration when purchasing TVs. Whatever that is.
Keep your external drive intact with this sturdy Insignia hard drive case. Its hardshell exterior resists deformity and protects against damaging elements, and its interior soft velvet lining safely cushions the device. This portable Insignia hard drive case has a mesh pocket to keep cables and other accessories in place.

This is durable and protects my hard drive. I tuck the hard drive inside the mesh-pocket side. It fits perfectly, and I feel confident my hard drive is thoroughly protected by the case. There is room for the usb hard-drive too.

Samsung, don't treat me like I'm an idiot

Hello Samsung,
Thanks for the heads up about updating my firmware. I'm from the stone-age. I wasn't aware of updates. You make a bad TV and sell it as a high end quality picture. I'm well aware of how to adjust a picture using the brightness and contrast controls. Thanks for telling me something I learned in the 90s. I used a tune-up app. During the picture adjustment, the brightness does not show the THX symbol at all. The display or screen or TV is bad. Don't insult me with your response like I don't know what I'm doing. Make a decent TV.

What I saw in the promo and have seen in the store is called raw 4K or raw HD. It is compressed through the apps I guess or cable lines. Whatever. The problem with my TV was that there was no contrast. I really don't know what fixed it but I'm getting the kind of picture quality I expected for 4K movies. I can see some detail in dark areas but it is obviously not an OLED or QLED picture. I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting a pretty good picture that would keep me entertained while staying home.
Best Buy came out twice. They replaced the mainboard and that didn't fix it. I did factory resets and picture resets and smart hub resets. That didn't fix it. I had Samsung's techs come out once. They did nothing but also nothing changed. I asked for a more advanced tech. I did a Smart Hub reset the night before Samsung's tech was coming out for a second time. It fixed the 4K pictures that were too dark to watch like any DC Batman or even The Amazing-Spiderman or Men in Black. I don't know if it was that last Smart Hub reset or an auto-update of firmware. But the picture is what I expected, and if it looked like this from the beginning, I never would have made a fuss.
Knowing what I know now, I would recommend a person pay the extra bit of money and get a Samsung 8 Series (whatever the newest 8 series is). The 8 Series is supposed to be excellent for 4K movies.
