I chose this LG HighEfficiency with an Agitator after my Maytag
WITHOUT an Agitator (impeller) transition died after 6 years…and the 10 year warranty didn’t cover the fail.
An Agitator definitely cleans your clothes better and I believe is mechanically stronger.
With an impeller, the tub is the whole churning action putting more stress on the mechanical parts.
LOVE my new LG (And, LG gets high marks from consumers).
P.S. on sale with $300 off!
