How far from the main wifi point does the add on need to be? I have the main Google Wifi upstairs in my most corner bedroom but would like better coverage downstairs in the living room. Can I just place the Google Wifi Add-On downstairs?

I currently have Google Mesh that I use back in my master bedroom. I want to extend out to my garage which is about 100 feet from my house. I was looking at the Orbi Outdoor wifi. Is this compatible with Google?
