May work on the Roku Premier remote, but it does not work for the Roku Premier+ remote. Bought it to test so you don’t have to. Be warned.

Great potential
on July 14, 2019

The beauty of OLED TVs comes with its tradeoffs. The instant response of the OLED pixels ( vs LCD pixels) materializes itself as a very juddering/stuttering motion when camera slowly pans (i.e. smooth environmental documentaries or scrolling credits). What is technically more precise, creates an annoying experience. It is extremely frustrating for a ~$2,000 "flag-ship" premium television set.
OLED TVs have yet to produce a comparatively low peak brightness and this TV is no different. There is a technical limitation to the amount of light output each OLED pixel can produce. It cannot be used in a bright area. Watching a mildly dark movie in day light is next to impossible.
The previously identified brightness issue is made worse with a 'feature' found in every OLED TV panel, Automatic Brightness Limiter (ABL). Due in part to the TV power supply's inability to sufficiently power every OLED pixel's maximum brightness at once and as a safeguard to reduce the Plasma TV-like image retention, once a majority of pixels are emitting increased light output the panel uniformly decreases all light output. In many content this leads to a constant brightening and dimming of the panel's pixels. There is no way to disable this feature.
This TV has potential, but like in relationships the beautiful ones are high maintenance. Wait a few more years for an OLED purchase.
Scheduled for Geek Squad calibration and will update after.

Not subtitle friendly

If you watch with subtitles the LED full-array blooming effect could be very distracting.
I loved the picture for the price, but as the top tier of Vizio’s TV line at the time, I was disappointed in its handling of subtitles. The blooming effect from the LEDs brightening and dimming constantly with the subtitles was distracting, especially in dark scenes. The feature that sold me on this TV was the full-array with local dimming feature. However, it seems the logic that controls the LED zones or provides awareness of subtitles were subpar and it left me frustrated.
I returned this and purchased an OLED. It doesn’t get nearly as bright, but the subtitles (and surrounding picture) look great!

Will not play Blu-Ray @ 1080p from PS4 on OLED TV

After comprehensive troubleshooting involving changing PS4 settings, multiple hdmi cables, HDMI ports on 4K TV, and separate HDTV, the odd man out was this cable.
Shorter no-name brand cable worked in all ports and on different TV. My hypothesis is that it is an HDCP incompatibility issue, and the cable is not support the required version.

No LED cook light??

Product looks great and reheats my meals well. I purchased it in conjunction with two other LG appliances. Each sport LED lights. It was surprising to turn on the cook light to see the soft weak incandescent bulb. It look cheaper alongside the other LED laden appliances.

I stream Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/etc. get MLB/NBA streaming subscriptions, I play PS4 games and I watch TV via FIOS. What's most likely to make me mad about buying one of these?

Black crush in video games and extremely high pixel response time leading to judder or stutter in smooth moving camera pans.

Is this wall mountable?

Yes, it is. It is extremely fragile at its top and must be handled at its baseit's

what is HDR and what do it do

High Dynamic Range. It is a standardized term to clearly identify panels capable of displaying a wide color range (over a billion colors). In the 2010's when LED was coming to market the different brands touted many different exaggerated "contrast ratios" (i.e. the amount of shades or degrees of difference between the brightest output and the lowest light output the panel was capable of producing), such as 1,000,000:1, as there was no generally accepted standard unit to measure the ratio. While dealing with much more than just light, HDR can be seen as an attempt to correct this. An HDR label panels means it is capable of producing a minimum of 1,024 different shades of each primary color, resulting in roughly a billion different colors. This is in comparison to Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) which at maximum is 256 difference shades of each primary color, resulting in millions of colors.

Do these Oleds still suffer from Burn in? The first 2 years of my oled was the best picture I have seen , in year 3 the burn in came. No gaming, no Cnn, but still got burn in from a channel I rarely watch. Brightness , contrast and Oled turned down low

Burn-in and/or image retention is still possible. OLED Panel Settings -> "Pixel Refresher" should remove any image retention, and "Logo Luminance Adj" should reduce likelihood of it occurring in the first place by reducing the brightness of pixels in static images.

How many inches up from the bottom of the screen is the part of the mounting bracket that fastens to the wall?

Top screw is 12.5" and bottom screw is 4.5" from the bottom of the panel, not the bottom of the stand.
