Worst player I've ever owned

Had to return the first one because it kept shutting off. The second one has some extremely annoying features.
Pros:
-Relatively quiet.
-No problem playing discs or most video files through USB.
-I like the buttonless features on the player.

What gauge speaker wire is suggested for these? I've got 16 gauge running to the 100w rear speakers, but there is considerably more wattage here. It will be about a 6' run to the receiver.
