Purchased this TV mainly for the Dolby vision capabilities. I also have an Sony OLED in my home theater room, which I am very satisfied with. Video quality wise, I have no real complaints with this TV. The one complaint I do have that gets it the 4 stars, is that the audio quality is very lackluster. I am not a fan of Sony's attempt on the acoustic audio that they integrate into the screen of the TV. I never delt with this on my OLED as it's hooked up to a surround sound system.

If you are looking for a fast dependable mesh system for your home, this unit almost takes the whole cake. I did end up returning these, but not due to the setup, speed, or reliability. I needed a physical ethernet out jack for my wife's computer room, as believe or not in this day in age, her computer doesn't have a wireless card. These units only have this option on the main unit, which is used for the ethernet in cable. The other 2 satellite units have no jacks, other than the power cable jack. Keep this in mind if you are in a similar situation to me. Ended up going with the eero pro system.

Good improvement over the Hero 4

Upgraded from a Hero 4. Most noticeable improvements are the user interface, both on the unit and in the app. For video quality, I did enjoy the stabilization options the 8 offered, however, overall video quality seemed fairly comparable to the Hero 4. Long story short, if you need/want the stabilization features for video shoots, worth the upgrade. If you're just upgrading because it's a 8 vs 4 (or what ever model you have), I was happy with the video quality still produced from my Hero 4. Also, for any gimbal users, note you cannot charge while on the gimbal, unless you want the waterproof hatch left open. I wouldn't advise to do that as the battery will probably just fall out.
