Makes it nice and easy to setup your dishwasher. We had a contractor remodel our kitchen. Sometimes they will already have this piece, so make sure you check with your contractor that is doing your kitchen to see if it's necessary to have this.

It turns out most dishwashers are a standard size, but this one is smaller than the standard size. So we had to return it for a standard size one.
