Hear music in rich clarity with this Sony home theater AV receiver. Powerful surround sound makes movies come alive on your home theater system, and nine speaker channels flex their output to match your physical layout. This Sony home theater AV receiver works with a wide variety of audio formats, such as Google Home, Chromecast and Spotify. Includes HDMI 4K Ultra HD and 3D pass-through technologies for compatibility with 3D TVs, Blu-ray players and gaming consoles and 4K Ultra HD TVs.

How can it be an 1155W receiver (165W/ch) when the total power consumption is 240W, per page 63 of the owner's manual? And why would Surround Mode output power be 165W/ch, when the Stereo Mode Output Power is only 120W/ch, with THD = 0.9% in both cases?

It's only about 50 watts per channel that's all

Can you run both zones (A&B) simultaneously or is it an "A or B" zone setup? thanks!

I haven't tried zone B so I'm not sure if you could run them simultaneously

I recently purchased a Yamaha - 400W 5.1-Ch. 4K HDR Compatible A/V Home Theater Receiver - Black. I want to buy a subwoofer for it and want to know what you guys recommend from the Kilpsch brand. Would this be a good choice ?

Yes it would be a good choice

Further on sub above, K recommended the 48" sound bar with single RCA summed output after passing thru the ~120hz filter in the sound bar. This would then replace the much smaller, less capacity 8" sub that comes with that sound bar. Sound ok? Look outs?

Yes I added it to my sound bar 48 it sounds great I use just the one RCA plug have no problem out of it
