Thought the original Blu-Ray was the best it was gonna look, but this 4K upgrade surpasses previous releases. Plus, you get a near one hour retrospective documentary on the film itself, which is only avilable on the UHD disc.

As someone who owns the excellent 2010 Alien Anthology Box Set, I I had my doubts this movie could look any better.
But once I popped in this new edition, I was floored by the fine detail not noticeable in the previous Blu-Ray set.
Facial textures really pop out, as well as some really cool set details I never noticed (the cat bowl Jones eats from has his name inscribed on it.)
A must-own.

If you have doubts that a film shot on 16mm can look better on 4K than its Blu-Ray counterpart, then I recommend you purchase this new edition of "The Evil Dead."
Colors look more naturally autumnal, and their more fine detail in the gruesome make up effects.
Worth the upgrade.
Only drawback is that all the Special Features from the old Blu-Ray are not available, so you might want to hang on to the old DVD/Blu-Ray.

I’ve been a loyal Roku customer since they introduced their first model ten years ago, and have been upgrading ever since. Last model I had was the Express, which had some minor issues. But when I upgraded to this new model, I was blown away. Speed is phenomenal (especially when playing Netflix), and it is 4K ready.
