The "Fast & Furious" franchise has come a long way since the first movie arrived in 2001. It has gone from a story about illegal car racing to saving the world from terrorists. Some films are stronger than others, but it's overall a fun and exciting franchise. With great performances from Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker, it's surely a great time all-around.

Never Underestimate the Power of Fandom!

A true example of how fandom can inspire and influence. "Galaxy Quest" tells the story of a group of has-been actors from a "Star Trek" rip-off who are asked to save a race of aliens from a galactic menace. These actors must step up to save the universe with their experience on the show. I've always enjoyed this movie because it truly shows how something such as a TV show can make a difference in people's lives. A truly fun watch with great performances from Tim Allen, Alan Rickman and Sigourney Weaver to name a few. A definite recommendation for "Star Trek," Sci-Fi or any fans in general.

The DCEU seems to have finally found its rhythm following the underperformance of "Justice League." "Shazam" is a fun movie that takes the concept of Tom Hanks' "Big" and puts a superhero spin on it. Zachary Levi shines as a boy in a man's body who must save the world. Compared to a lot of superhero movies that try to be gritty and dark, this is a strong counter to that atmosphere. Superhero or DC Comic fans should add this to their collection.

Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro certainly play the part of two aging boxers looking for that one final shot at glory. Neither man is the villain as you want to see both succeed for different reasons. It also has a great supporting cast in Kevin Hart, Kim Basinger, Jon Bernthal and Alan Arkin. Certainly a fun gem to watch for fans of either Stallone or DeNiro or boxign fans in general.
