What can I say about this movie? It’s incredible. A true Disney classic. But the real thing I should mention is the amazing steelbook and A/V presentation of the film. This is the definitive home video release of the film. Just make sure to redeem your digital code for access to probably every special feature ever created for the film.

Close to perfection

I can't put my finger on it but this film is missing something. However, it is an extraordinary crowd pleaser. Rami Malek's performance is every bit as good as you heard it was and Queen has never sounded better. That Live Aid performance is electrifying and ends the film on an astronomical high.
Also, great A/V presentation on the 4K blu-ray. Beautiful steelbook courtesy of Best Buy.

Solid work from Lawrence. I don't understand the hate for this movie. It's *fine*. Nothing remarkable. The real star is best buy's steelbook and the presentation of the film in 4K. Looks and sounds terrific.
Maybe rent it before you buy it.

A solid outing for McQueen

Steve McQueen came roaring onto the scene almost a decade ago now with "Hunger", one of the best films I've seen in recent years. Since he's made "Shame" and his Oscar-winning "12 Years a Slave." Each film different but distinctly McQueen, "Widows" is a whole new ballgame. Perhaps less action heavy than someone unfamiliar with his work would expect, "Widows" is a character-focused heist film that left me 95% satisfied. I'd recommend to anyone with the caveat that they know they're in for less action and more character than the trailers would have you believe.

Supremely under-watched and underappreciated

There's not a whole lot I can say to you if you're not convinced by the pedigree. Simon and Pelecanos are masters of their craft and The Deuce, once again, proves this. The cast nails it (standouts are Carr, Gyllenhaal, Franco, and Meade) and the writing is impeccable, as expected. As educational as it is entertaining, The Deuce is must-watch television.

An intimate, emotional look at an American hero. I’ve seen many things covering the Apollo 11 mission but none of them capture the moment in quite the same way this film does. Gosling and Foy are incredible as Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong. The musical score is stunning. And Damien Chazelle once again proves he’s one of this generation’s greatest working directors. 5/5.
