Yes, get this metal hose kit

Save yourself another hassle. Get the metal hose and never worry about it. The cheap rubber hoses have to be replaced every 5 years and it is a source of water damage if that breaks.
You can get the same at hardware store for a few bucks cheaper, but if you are not going there anyway, get it with Best Buy and save a trip.

Works, after a warranty repair

The unit is a great design. You get a second (smaller) washer without sacrificing any space. Just inside the pedestal. Great idea!
Well, the unit had some damage upon arrival. I had to call LG for a warranty repair in order to work flawlessly. It was easy to request warranty service online, and they took care of me even during the pandemic. This gives me some assurance how the repair service would go in the future.
