I bought this for myself as an external monitor for my PC laptop, so I could put the PC laptop under the TV, closed lid and with a wireless keyboard and mouse, I was able to make it feel like a full-size desktop monitor. Great cheap alternative for 32" monitor size vs the dedicated PC monitors. Bonus: 2nd HDMI port allows me to add a Roku streaming stick for the times I want to watch streaming shows.

I bought this for my elderly mother who needed a "big monitor" to help her read with ease what's on her PC laptop. She's been very happy with it, she no longer crouches at the laptop's screen. She now sits back and does her computer stuff, using this as a monitor. This was a very cheap alternative to the expensive monitors dedicated to computer use. Great value. Plus, with a Roku streaming stick added to the other HDMI port, she's got a TV in the same place, too.

I bought this for my Mom who has a 24" HDMI TV that she's using for a monitor for her PC laptop. Her PC laptop is a refurbished laptop that only has a VGA out port. So, I had to buy this adaptor to make it work with the HDMI TV (that has no VGA input). This did the job beautifully. A good device to bridge the two video eras: VGA and HDMI. (Keep in mind this goes VGA to HDMI, not the other way around).
