Pretty amazing performance, it takes a lot of power. It runs cool on the chip but it dumps heat into a room. I run mine pretty frequently and hard when I game, and the room warms up fast and smells like hot electronics. No melting but I have a PSU that has the new 12x6 connector instead of the first gen 12vhpwr one.

Great Viewing Angle and Brightness

I use this product as a computer monitor mounted above my primary. With the 120Hz mode there is a dip in sharpness that is noticeable, but running at 60Hz most of the time everything is sharp and each pixel is defined. The angle of viewing in my use case is amazing vs my previous 2017 LG model of the same size. Brightness was improved in my case as well and the colors are more accurate in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of Sony's TV OS but having a programmable button on the remote to launch directly into my selected input was a nice-to-have.

Not a huge upgrade over the basic Blu-Ray version. This movie was not rendered at a great enough detail to justify the 4K version. Movie is okay for kids of a certain age, my kid loves trains and the first half is pretty much all we watch.

Does this have VRR?
This TV does have VRR and VRR support for devices that can enable it. It is tied to the input and the device connected. The settings can be a bit tricky to find and switch on and off if you are doing that sort of thing. I have had success with VRR using both a computer with a GPU outputting over HDMI 2.1 and the PS5.
Enabling 120Hz mode does come at a quality cost on this set though you can notice if looking at small details or text.

What is hdr
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, it offers a larger color space which can eliminate banding where similar colors that have a slight gradient change across the screen would look like stipes instead of a smooth color change. This TV has pretty good HDR range but an OLED would be better. There are different specifications for HDR and some will drive up the price of the product. This one is decent for its price and size class.
