Bosch 800 Series Over The Range Microwave

The Bosch 800 Series microwave is a very nice product. The sensor cook feature does a very good job heating food. The popcorn button listed three different size popcorn bags starting with the 1.5 ounce when you push the popcorn button, put the button again and it changes to the next bigger size bag and push the button again and it is set to pop the 3.5 ounce bags of popcorn.
The sensor button has a setting for backed potatoes and it works very well.
The interior space of this 1.8 Cu Ft micron is surprisingly very good with a 14 inch glass plate that rotates. Our old 1.8 cu ft Bosch microwave only had a 12 inch glass rotating plate so Bosch has made this 1-8 cu ft microwave even better. It also has an LED light in the interior.
The interior is stainless steel making it easy to clean. This unit has a convection oven feature in it but we have not used that feature so I can't comment on how that works when using it.
This unit has two LED lights on the bottom for lighting the top of your range cooktop however do to the directional lighting LED lights project while they are bright and a nice white light they will leave the front 1/6th of your range top dimmer that the area right under the microwave, not really a big deal but it does show one of the limitations of LED lighting vs halogen bulbs that spread light over a wider pattern.
Overall this is a very nice microwave and we are very pleased with it.

LG French Door Refrigerator 25.1 Cu. Ft.

We purchased this LG refrigerator because it has good room. LG has revised the linear compressor and reading reviews from actual repair shop shows the LG to be at the top of the reliability chart now.
The interior of this refrigerator is nice and bright, it has led lighting in both the top and the bottom freezer. The freezer has good space in it as well.
The ice maker makes square cubes instead of the half moon shaped cubes more refrigerators make.
When you set up the refrigerator you want to use the two screw feet on the front left and right to level the refrigerator left to right. It should be slightly higher in the front than the rear, LG says that helps the doors to close properly.
Adjusting the hight of the two French doors is easy, the left door uses a nut on the bottom hinge that you turn to raise or lower the left door to align it with the right door. The right door you use clips on the bottom hinge, you lift the right door slightly and snap in the clip on the top of hinge that the door pivots on.
Leveling the refrigerator and adjusting the doors only takes a few minutes.
I have read some reviews where people complained of the refrigerator rolls forward when they open the freezer drawer, that is because they did not use the two screw feet to level the unit which lifts the refrigerator so that is it not sitting on the wheels in the front, that will keep the refrigerator from moving when you open the freezer drawer.
The doors have a finger print resistant stainless steel finish. It is not high grade stainless steel but rather a lower grade because the door will allow a magnet to stick to them. High quality stainless steel is non magnetic. Most people like to put magnets on their refrigerators so there is nothing wrong with the lower grade stainless steel on the doors as that solves the magnet on the doors issue.
The sides of the refrigerator are steel and a dark gray color, overall this is a nice looking refrigerator that has lots of usable space and the finger print resistant doors works well.
The linear compressor is quiet and unobtrusive, you can hear it if you listen for it but other than that it is quiet.
Just level it from right to left and make sure you have a little tilt to the rear and this unit should work well.

We purchased this range in November 2020 when it was on sale so we saved $700.00 dollars on it, the induction burners are amazing, they allow you to control the heat immediately up or down resulting in better prepared food. We have Allclad Copper Core Stainless Steal pots and pans and with this induction cook top food just tastes better. The oven is very good as well, it preheats very fast and it cooks very well. We made cookies in it and they came out perfect no over baked bottoms like our old range would do. Water will boil in no time at all when on boost for the burners. We are very pleased with this induction/convection range and would recommend it.
Prices are still on the high side so if you can get it when a sale is going on it makes it a better deal but induction cook tops are the way to go.

Update on our LG induction cook top range

We have now owned this range for over 2 1/12 years now and it is awesome, the induction cook top is easy to clean with spray ceramic cook top cleaner sprays, what makes it easy to clean is because the cook top itself does not get as hot as a normal ceramic flat top range. Clean up is only 10 to 15 seconds and your induction cook top is clean. LG did a fantastic job on this induction cook top range and the oven works just as good with its temp control.
You won't go wrong with this LG LSE4616ST Induction Top Convection Oven. We highly recommend it.

Overall LG makes a great product and no exception with this fridge, The only thing missing on this fridge for those of you that like filtered water is a spot to get water, it has an icemaker so why not include a filter water spout.

You do know that LG makes other models with ice and water in the door right? Further the two biggest repair problems for refrigerators is those water and ice dispensers. For the best reliability you do not want water and ice dispensers in the door. There are some good review sites that explain this in detail. I just purchased LG refrigerator and picked it because it does not have water and ice in the door.

Enjoying my new LG frig!!! So much more room than my old 25 sq ft . Someone told me I wouldn't be able to stick my magnets on stainless steel; however, I can do this and am having a ball decorating my new appliance from Best Buy!!!

There are different grades of stainless steel, the best grades are not magnetic while the lessor grades of stainless are magnetic. We have a Bosch micro wave and it uses the higher grade stainless steel and is not magnetic, it was manufactured in 2007 and still going strong. We just purchased a Bosch 800 series dishwasher and it uses a lower grade of stainless steel as it is magnetic. If this LG stainless steel refrigerator will allow a magnet to stick then it is using a lower grade stainless steel, there is nothing wrong with that as the higher the grade of stainless steel the more it costs.

How do I turn on the task lights and the exhaust fan for the stove top below?
There is a button for tuning on the lights and the fan, you just push the light button once for its bright setting and push it again for the night light setting and push it one more time to turn off the lights. The fan button works the same way you push it to turn on the fan and push again to change the speed of the fan and push it again to turn off the fan.

Does this work with the same mounting bracket and top vent position as the Bosch HMV5053U? My HMV5053U just died and they are not available for order. I'd like to make reinstallation as easy as possible and use the existing mount and vent.
I am going to say no because we had the HMV9305/01 Bosch 1.8 cu ft microwave and this Bosch 800 Series is the replacement for that old Bosch series. The back bracket is different size wise, the same basic design but just enough different our old HMV9305/01 wall bracket did not work and we had to install the new wall bracket in place of the old one. Also the top mounting holes for the three top mounting screws are not in the same exact locations so you will have to drill three new holes.

I have a cut out in my kitchen to put a microwave oven. With this over the range microwave convection oven, what issues might I have to install or ventilate it.
The install is straight forward, no gotcha issues, there is a plate that mounts to the wall behind the microwave that has a lip on the bottom of the plate. Once the plate is installed on the wall the back of the microwave has a lip that will connect with the lip on the plate so you install it with the front are a downward angle then rotate the microwave upward to the bottom of the cabinet above it. You have drilled holes for the three mounting screws to go through the bottom floor of the cabinet and a larger holt for the plug and cord to fit through so you can plug the microwave into the 110 volt electric receptacle that powers the microwave. The unit does weigh just over 50 pounds so pull out your range so you can lift the microwave into place and have a help to insert the top mounting screws and pull the plug through its hole so it does not get pinched.

Since the dimensions are not exactly the same, will this 800 series fit properly (without any gaps on the sides) as a replacement for the Bosch HMV9305/01?
Yes this is a direct replacement size wise for the old Bosch HMV9305/01 microwave, they are both a 1.8 cu ft and the outer dimensions are very close to each other, any gap will be very small as this Bosch 800 Series is designed to fit in the same size cutout.

Yes there is an intake on the bottom of the Bosch 800 Series microwave that pulls air from above your range.
