An AMAZING TV!

We had a five year old 4K Samsung that was working fine, but it was time to replace it with newer technology. We considered the current 4K Samsung flagship model, but the price difference to go to the 8K model was worth it. In the end, we got the 8K for the same price we had bought the 4K model back in 2014. Highly recommend this TV!

Excellent Integration with Alexa Devices

We recently got several Alexa devises. We had been using a Harmony 650 for years, but when we realized there was an Alexa skill for the Harmony Hub we got one. It integrates very well with Alexa -- voice commands for most of the functions of the hub. And the IR emitter function is outstanding -- for us it just has to be somewhere in the same room of the TV and other components being controlled. Setting it up is somewhat cumbersome, however, requiring a specific sequence of events to get the hub to play with Alexa. Also, it is not 100 percent reliable, but close. I would have rated this five stars if it had not been for these to things.

My Third Definitiv Pro 800

I've been very pleased with our three Pro 800 subwoofers. The only reason I did not rate this five stars (which the unit deserves based on the audio performance) is that the power supply in the unit is apparently a "dirty" switching power supply that puts out electrical noise (EMI) into my home electrical wiring, thus interfering with my light control system. I had to purchase a line filter (one that the unit plugs into) to prevent this noise from transitioning to the rest of the house. The other two Pro 800s do not exhibit this behavior, but the fix cost me $18.99.

Is there a lot of difference between this television, and the most modern 4K televisions and advanced?
There is a noticeable difference in the picture quality. This 8K TV has 33,177,600 pixels versus 8,294,400 for a 4K TV. This allows for a much sharper picture, expecially noticeable in the edges of text, etc. Further, this model had the maximum number of back lighting zones that Samsung TVs provide, thus giving the same blacker blacks as the highest end Samsung 4K model.
The TV upscales everything to 8K for display regardless of the resolution of the source material, and this TV does a fantastic job in the upscaling. Because of the pixel count and this upscaling, all content is crisper and clearer.
This model is the flagship model for the entire Samsung line.
