My husband and I purchased this GE 5.2 cubic foot, high efficiency washer when our Kenmore Oasis Elite washer of 14 years needed replacing. Although the washing machine is nice, it is a bit too large. E.g., for a small load, I sometimes have to go on my tiptoes to retrieve the wash from the bottom of the washer (I'm 5'5"). I am also not a fan of not having an agitator as often the items being washed get all tangled. In addition, the elastic in some garments has deteriorated in this washer, therefore, I will now have to start washing certain items on the gentle cycle when I didn't have to do that with my previous washer.

Inconvenient to Print Envelopes

Purchased for our second home as my husband and I are working remotely from there during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We have an HP laser printer at our main residence and the Brother laser printer is a bit faster. The toner cartridges for this laser printer are a bit on the expensive side and the Brother doesn't seem to print out as many pages as the HP before the toner cartridges have to be replaced. It is also inconvenient to print out envelopes (I'm still trying to figure that out). I went on internet to figure out how to print out envelopes and it says to open back cover, open the face up tray and pull down the two gray levers until they lock. Apparently envelopes print to the back of the printer which doesn't make sense to me. If you have the printer on a stand near a wall (which is where we have this printer), it's inconvenient to have to pull the printer out and away from the wall to open the back. The envelope prints to the back of the printer instead of to the front of the printer. If I had known that, I probably would not have purchased this Brother printer. Other than those two issues, I'm pleased with the printer.

Unbelievably Quiet

This Bosch 800 Series dishwasher replaced another Bosch dishwasher we had for 13 years. It is unbelievably quiet, what Bosch is known for. Love the third rack. The downside is that the rack to hold the stems of wine glasses does not snap into place, so it often will revert back to the up position when the wine glasses are in place, so the wine glasses topple to the side. I don't know if that is a design flaw or if we just got a bad rack. Also, the dishwasher on/off control will turn on randomly when opening the dishwasher to put dishes in. Not sure why that happens, but it is an annoyance.

What is the depth of the tub from the top to the bottom of the tub. This is almost a foot higher than my front loader and i'm concerned we're too short to reach the bottom of the drum.
Approximately 28.5 inches from bottom to top. It is very deep. I am 5''5" and I have to really reach to get the items out of the bottom of the washer. My husband is 5'10" and even though he doesn't have problems, he feels it's really deep as well. I will sometimes have to ask him to get the items from the bottom of the washer for me. To be honest, if we had known how deep it was, we probably would not have purchased this large of a capacity top load washer.
