Outstanding thriller about an insane asylum that seems to be having trouble with the people in charge. 2 Federal agents are sent to the island to investigate, however, getting deeper and deeper into the investigation, it seems things are not what they appear to be.
Leonardo DiCaprio does a great job in this one and I can say I think it is one of his best performances in a movie, period. Ben Kingsley also in the lead as one of the main people in charge of the asylum.
Put this one on your 4K player and sound system on a Friday or Saturday night and you will be in for one on the edge of your seat movies.
4K picture and sound quality are outstanding.
I would highly recommend, but not for kids 12 and under.

In one of the best prison movies made, Tom Hanks stars as a lead security guard in charge of the prisoners. There is one special prisoner that has been sent there that seems to have healing powers after an encounter with Tom's character and him. The prisoner was sent on a double murder charge, but after what happened between him and Hanks' character, things start to look a bit off in regard to the charges and questioning whether the man got an actual fair trial to begin with.
This movie looks really good in 4K and the sound is superb as well. If you love Tom Hanks and his well-done movies, I highly recommend this one!
It is a long movie, a little over 3 hours, so perhaps watch it in parts, 1 and half hour each unless you can sit through a 3-hour movie all at once.
Special features are on the Blu-ray disc provided and Digital copy with slipcover is here as well.

The Howling, a 1980 werewolf movie is still one of my all-time favorites. Now, a brand new 4K restoration and great sound make this one to have. Dee Wallace plays a reporter on the hunt for a good story involving a recent string of homicides. They believe the man responsible stalks the seedy part of L.A./Hollywood.
Once she is drawn into the fact that the man doing the killings is not even human, things get weirder.
Her mental state is affected by a recent encounter known only as Eddie.
A well-known doctor now talks her and her husband into coming to a secluded getaway in the forest called The Colony.

Well, after many years of waiting for a good sequel to Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 from the 1980s, we finally have Afterlife. To be honest, I did not know what to expect watching it for the first time, after seeing the trailer on youtube. I personally liked it, but was it absolutely perfect? No, nothing really is especially in movies.
The effects were spot on, and I am really happy to see elements from the original 2 starring Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson and finally Sigourney Weaver who has a scene in the credits with Bill Murray. Very nicely done!

I really like this Steelbook it’s pretty cool. Lionsgate knows how to make a great Steelbook and this one is pretty awesome. But the only dislike about this is that I didn’t have a chance to finish the movie. Like after hour and a half the sounds just cut off while I was watching the movie. For the 4K and the Blu-Ray. I was very disappointed and had to return it and sadly, they didn’t had any copy of the Steelbook and the regular 4K. Wish I could give this a better rating but couldn’t, I was let down.

Audiences were mesmerized in 1982 by Disney~s release of the film Tron, a groundbreaking fusion of live action and computer animation, setting the special effects stage for decades to come. Video game players were equally drawn to the Tron arcade cabinet, widely considered the most beautiful design ever. Arcade1Up is incredibly proud to produce the Tron home arcade cabinet, among the most requested by hardcore retrogamers. Awarded "Coin-Operated Game of the Year" by Electronic Games magazine, Tron was revered for its gameplay and gorgeous aesthetic. The Arcade1Up Tron home arcade cabinet stays true to what made the game such a draw in 1982, right down to its signature inner lit blue joystick. I spent a lot of time standing in front of one of these in the arcade back when they came out. And I haven't seen one since I enlisted in '85 so I had to get this just as a sop to my memories of happy times during childhood.
This isn't my first Arcade 1up cabinet, but it's by far the most expensive. I don't see the value here OTHER than for that nostalgia factor. There isn't anything here that warrants the price otherwise compared to some of the other games.
That being said, if you can get past the price point and want it, it definitely does bring back those days.
Assembly is pretty standard, although in this set the smallest piece, that is a small bit of wood material about 6 inches long that goes angled on the top above the screen to support the top cover, was much flimsier in here than in my last one. It split with the tiniest bit of snugging the screw down. It was still usable, and I was very careful with the second one, but keep that in mind.
Beyond that, I put it together myself and didn't have any issues with the build I do have a bit of dissapointment with the fitting of the graphic panel just under the joystick - it's not straight and so didn't line up well with the piece underneath it. I may have to pop the back and put some gorilla tape or something on it to keep it lined up better.
The other disappointment is with the joystick. Not anywhere near as good as the original. So light cycles, for example, it gets a lot of inputs that you aren't intending. And the ability to do those tiny little smallest jinks while driving the light cycle are nothing like what you could do with the original.
Sounds are spot on though, and the music is as well. So it's good for a stroll down memory lane even if it's not as good to play as it was. But for the price I expected better.

Thank you for your review! I have been watching this as well to see who would buy one and what it would be like. The price point is just too much, and now you say the controls are not as good, etc. Well, hopefully, there will be a mod available at some point to fix that joystick.

This movie of course was no where on par with the first two. It is worth watching as I think all of them are except for the one with Busta Rhymes in it. This is a classic so buy it and watch it. Too bad they dont make a monster Halloween box set.

Well, this is the second time on 4K for these movies. I believe the first was a digibook style case. They are only rereleasing these to coincide with the newest Spider-Man movie that has all 3 of the guys in it. I'm sure if they sell enough of this set, they will undoubtedly put out a steel book version of it to make even more money. Slip covers, for the most part, are becoming hard to find now. The money is in the steel book casing.

The movies are entertaining however I am disappointed with the packaging. I do not like stacked discs and this set did not add anything extra. Not even a slip cover. I would recommend buying at a discounted price.

I am most likely going to save up for that LEGACY Edition Steelbook that has all of the previous 4K Spider-Man movies and blu-rays in it I believe. Thanks for the honest review.

I love The Matrix trilogy, that's why I bought this movie also (to have the complete collection), but this movie was a 5/10. The quality and design of this SteelBook is 6/10. If you are a fan of the movie, buy it.

As a life long Star Trek fan I purchased this box set to go with my collection.
I would say that these are a good 4K transfer but not really much of an upgrade over the Blu-ray.

It is nice having a digital copies however these are on paramount and not able to be used on Movies anywhere.
No Dolby Atmos
The Motion Picture is currently being upgraded to the directors cut 4K with Dolby Atmos.. the others will probably soon follow.

I don't know which set up you are watching your discs on, but these most certainly DO have Dolby Atmos on them. They look better than ever now in 4K and am very happy to have them. A good 4K player combined with a good 4K TV with HDR is the best set up.

There are misleading images of this unit's screen size when showing Centipede. The game is a vertical game as it should be. However, there are photos of it being squashed or horizontal. Which is it?

How difficult is this to assemble ? How does it come in the box? I am worried about the electronics and it being assembled correctly.
HI Buffy, well, I own the STAR WARS unit with the riser and I did not have difficulty in assembling that unit. This unit is fairly good and decent to assemble.
The instructions are fairly well put and easy to understand in the manual.
The items come well packed in the box. If you are picking it up yourself, make sure to look the box over for any damage or openings on the box itself. Do not buy those.
Just make sure it looks good before buying and keep the receipt handy if there are any kind of problems or pieces damaged/missing inside. You can return promptly for exchange or refund.
Double check your wiring when attaching the electronic cables, etc. before finally putting the backboard on with the screwdriver and closing it up. Make sure any switches are turned to the ON position.
I would recommend getting this unit at BEST BUY as it is the best version called the SPECIAL EDITION.

No, Arcade 1up machines do not use quarters, only electricity and some frustration when it doesn't work properly. lol

After I pay for the arcade, can geek squad come to my house to assemble the pacman arcade?
Annie, just get a good screwdriver and lay out all pieces, items out as I did. It is not hard to assemble. The instructions are fairly good and detailed. I believe you can do it in a little over an hour. Save your money.
