PSYCHO gets the 4K 60th Anniversary Treatment

This is a pretty good steelbook for the 60th Anniversary of this classic Alfred Hitchcock movie. The movie itself is just gorgeous now. There is NO dirt, specks or blurriness in scenes at all. I compared this 4K disc notably to the previous Blu-ray that has been out for sometime by Universal.
Hands down, the 4K is superior in every way.

If you own a previous PSYCHO release on Blu-ray, go and watch the scenes in the office where Janet Leigh's character goes into the office. Watch that whole thing. You will notice dirt, specks and some blurry scenes. That is all gone now.
I always watch my movies on the Sony 4K player and 4K TV. Trust me, there is no better version of this movie than this one for picture quality. Now, the technical problem seems to be with some reviewers on amazon saying the DTS X version (which amounts to a 7.1 audio) is not right. I had no problems with it, also the DTS 2.0 version that is available from the audio menu.
All special features are ported over from the previous Blu-ray release for this movie. I see nothing brand new for this 60th Anniversary Edition in that sense. I think everything that has been done for interviews, etc. is in this release.
You have an additional 13 seconds added now in the UNCUT version, which is the Theatrical version originally shown.
The one we have all been used to over the years was the edited down version for TV broadcasts, home video releases, until now.

In my opinion, this is the best steelbook version for Wonder Woman.
Not only is the outside of the steelbook itself better artwork, it has the thick plastic sleeve for an outer slip with Wonder Woman and the logo.
The steelbook is embossed with the shield and you can feel its edge in front and back. Nicely done.
The movie is beautiful in 4K and I think Gal did a great job in the movie role.
All special features are brought over from the previous Blu-ray/4K releases.
Highly recommended for this version of the steelbook!

This is a stunningly beautiful set! It doesn't get better than this!
Seriously, all movies are just beautiful in 4K. The picture and sound are fabulous. I saw no dirt or film defects at all in each movie. It is perfect. I watched all of these in a row on the 55", Sony 4K player and Sound bar. I did not have any sound coming out of the TV speakers itself, only the sound bar.
I suggest you do the same if you have the equipment. You will really hear more detail and sounds.
As far as features are concerned, I think it is basically the same content as the 30th Anniversary Edition from 2015.
This is the 4K 35th Anniversary steelbook for each individual movie.
The cases are outstanding inside and out. Each disc has artwork for the movies. The 3 steelbooks are housed in the outer cardboard sleeve separately. I think the cardboard outer sleeve could have been better, like making it the same material as the Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary 4K collection with 4 movies. That box is well made.

I have been a big fan of this movie for a long time and watched it whenever it would come out on Cable TV back in the '80s.
I have to say that ARROW has done a fabulous job on this package and kept the price point down fairly reasonable for what you get in it.

This is the Limited Edition 2 Disc 4K set. There is also a Blu-ray version of this set. So, you decide which one you want.
The actual 4K in this release is spectacular and the colors are just super bright and more refined now than ever before.

The 4K disc does not have any region restrictions, but the 2nd disc in this set is the Blu-ray that has more special features and the Documentary LIFE AFTER FLASH. That is Region A.
In it, Sam Jones talks about the movie, what happened during the movie and after. I had not known about much of his life until now. It's really great to see him and most of the cast in this set in interviews, talking.

Tons of extras folks on this set. I Highly recommend it!
*** I have read numerous complaints about that super edition with the CD Soundtrack, the Blu-rays are Region B for UK and the 4K disc itself has technical problems with it. DO NOT get that unless you want to shell out near $100 for all the other stuff and you have a region free player. Still, the 4K disc has a manufacturing issue.

Star Wars custom cabinet with riser!

I used to play the 1980s sit down version back in the day and I never thought I would own one similar until now. It is really nicely done.
I got it with the custom riser as I am 6 foot 3 inches. It helps quite a bit. The colors and artwork are very well done. The light up marquee is nice, however it is plastic, not glass. Just be aware of that. It's one unit. Assembly is not that bad, just follow the instructions well, as pictured. All pieces and parts were in their own individual sealed bags, and accounted for.
Game play is really good and with the deck protector, it should be good for a long time. The control yoke that you steer the ships with is mostly made of hard plastic, so don't go too hard on that and bang it up in game play. I am pleased overall with the product and play is just as I recall back in the mid 1980s!

I can agree with you to a certain extent. Maybe they were not specific enough in the listing details as they should have been. Since these movies have been out for years now, most of them on Blu-ray, this set is a limited steelbook 4K UHD edition for the movies, and a special features disc for the extra content.

Arrow already did a HD Blu-ray version of this prior. Same slipcover design, only that one was a better slipcover with a graphic sheen to it.
This 4K edition only has a booklet included on the movie. They did the same thing for FLATLINERS and AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON.

What steelbook do you own? The one pictured is the one I own and there is most certainly inside artwork and on back. The disc itself is blue colored. They are not putting out another one just for a 4K edition. Disc only with the typical black holder.

I somewhat disagree with your comment as far as best looking steelbook so far this year. 1996's Ghost In The Shell gets my vote. I do believe that came out this year, 2023. If not, I stand corrected. The artwork on that is just superior in all directions.

Well, NO 7.1 Atmos like the previous HD Blu-ray release and NO UNRATED CUT on the 4K disc make this a CHEAP CASH GRAB.

Retrogaming fans and pop-culture enthusiasts have been clamoring for it, and here it is courtesy of Arcade1Up: the Atari Legacy CENTIPEDE Edition home arcade machine, for the first time in a form factor shaped just like the original classic arcade cabinet!
There are misleading images of this unit's screen size when showing Centipede. The game is a vertical game as it should be. However, there are photos of it being squashed or horizontal. Which is it?

No, there is only 7 included here for this unit. You are thinking of another unit that is more expensive and is not made by ARCADE 1up.

Yes, it has 1 or 2 players. Yes again, this unit does have the custom riser AND THIS UNIT is a SPECIAL EDITION unit, different from the WALMART version.
This unit has the LIGHT UP DECK PROTECTOR as well as THE MARQUEE. It also has a CUSTOM STOOL with it, that WALMART DOES NOT HAVE. Hence, the price difference.

Is this regular arcade size
No, it is about 3 quarters size. All Arcade 1up cabinets are pretty much the same size, overall. I would highly recommend getting ones with the custom riser as it adds about 1 foot to the height. I have the STAR WARS unit with the custom riser and it is really nice.

Do the device have to be in a climate controlled area?
Well, as with any electronic device, I would think you should have it protected from the elements and any high humidity levels. I have 2 video game units, a STAR WARS arcade 1up with riser, and a Tabletop unit with 3 player sides. They are protected at all times.

I believe each individual one has the slipcover from Best Buy. I just purchased ROGUE ONE the UHD 4K set.

Will this include the original theatrical version? Lucas's version with added footage is not the great memory I have of the Star Wars trilogy. I sure hope they give us at least both versions and not just his official version.
Sorry movielover, but the versions you are describing are NOT in this set and probably will never be offered again.
The only way to get the 1977, 1980, 1983 "versions" are the following:
The 2004 DVD sets that were made before "Revenge of the Sith" came out in 2005. (Official Release) *The quality on those were atrocious for DVD format ability at the time.
The 1995 THX VHS sets (official release)
The 1995 THX Laserdisc individual movies (official release)
The very first VHS versions that ever came out in the 1980s (official release) *Quality on those are poor for today's TVs.
The "Despecialized" manufactured on demand Blu-rays (unofficial release) *You can find out how to get those online as I don't have that info. here.
Now that Kathleen Kennedy is no longer a part of the SW movie making process, I have hope that one day in the future we may get an official 4K release of the original trilogy.

Does this, as well as the other movies, include the bonus/extra content like the behind the scenes? And is it the same as the ones you get in $250 complete saga box set?
Yes, it is the same content, Gio. The individual sets have slipcovers and contain the 3 discs/digital copy. Same amount of discs for each movie in the box set. The digital copies are also included in the box set.
