Outstanding edition of this 1981 Classic!
Well done on the whole package! Artwork, imagery, picture and sound are superb.
If you own the previous Blu-rays that have been issued in the past, you can recycle those now. This is a 4K restored edition and I believe all special features have been brought over to the Disc 3 included here.
Slipcover is great.
Artwork is on all 3 discs. I love that. I think every movie should be this way instead of the plain blue or gray Paramount seems to give theirs on some movies.

A superb edition! The best to date for this 1985 Sci-Fi thriller featuring one of the best-looking female villain leads of all time, Mathilda May in all her nude glory.
The 4K here is stunning with improved sound overall.

The third Blu-ray is the Director's Edition with more footage. It looks good here on the Blu-ray, but it is the same version that was released with the LIFEFORCE Steelbook awhile back. I have that version as well.
Different artwork on this 4K 3 disc set throughout.
The Director's Edition does not have the 4K scan.
Shame that was not done as well. There are some minor black specks on the film in that version.

I think this is perhaps one of the best movies that Robin Williams has done in his career. No, it's not for everyone, but it concerns his family and the tragedy it undertakes in a course of a few years.
Their family is torn when their kids die in a vehicle accident.
He and his wife are both dealing with it emotionally for a long, long time.
After driving home from work, Robin's character as a doctor suddenly experiences yet another vehicle accident. He tries to help out as best he can with one particular victim, but somehow becomes a victim himself in the process.
He becomes deceased and meets his angelic guide to the afterlife. His grieving widow just can't seem to deal with the huge loss yet again for someone she loves.
She is emotionally depressed and takes her own life.
Robin's spirit and his angelic guide must now face reality that they may not be able to rescue her or ever see her again.

Love the new Friday the 13th Part 3 steelbook edition, however NO 3D edition in this set. So, beware of that.
Artwork is great throughout.
The 3D version was released previously and is the 1982 3D Theatrical with Red and Blue paper glasses you had to wear.

The image on this particular 2D Blu-ray edition is cleaner and the sound is improved to DTS 5.1.
I know the first four parts of the series was already 4K scanned, so it does look improved when played back on the 4K player and 4K TV.
I compared this edition to the previous Paramount Blu-ray release, which had BOTH versions on the same disc.
This steelbook edition appeared cleaner and had less noticeable dirt, particularly in the opening scenes with the ending of part 2.
The menu is fairly good but had no background music.
I wish they would have used the wood looking lettering for this edition like the VHS and DVD copy.
I can understand for the continuity of the other previous two movies.

I can agree with you to a certain extent. Maybe they were not specific enough in the listing details as they should have been. Since these movies have been out for years now, most of them on Blu-ray, this set is a limited steelbook 4K UHD edition for the movies, and a special features disc for the extra content.

Arrow already did a HD Blu-ray version of this prior. Same slipcover design, only that one was a better slipcover with a graphic sheen to it.
This 4K edition only has a booklet included on the movie. They did the same thing for FLATLINERS and AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON.

What steelbook do you own? The one pictured is the one I own and there is most certainly inside artwork and on back. The disc itself is blue colored. They are not putting out another one just for a 4K edition. Disc only with the typical black holder.

Not sure who made the decision to downgrade the audio from 7.1 (which has been on all previous releases) to 5.1 but geez, really?!?
Awful, just awful. My copy will be returned at first opportunity. Super disappointing.

Well, NO 7.1 Atmos like the previous HD Blu-ray release and NO UNRATED CUT on the 4K disc make this a CHEAP CASH GRAB.

Retrogaming fans and pop-culture enthusiasts have been clamoring for it, and here it is courtesy of Arcade1Up: the Atari Legacy CENTIPEDE Edition home arcade machine, for the first time in a form factor shaped just like the original classic arcade cabinet!
There are misleading images of this unit's screen size when showing Centipede. The game is a vertical game as it should be. However, there are photos of it being squashed or horizontal. Which is it?

So, what's the actual date of release now? Arcade 1up had it in March and Best Buy says Dec. 31, 2021. lol There are many of us eagerly awaiting to get this unit when Arcade 1up SAYS and sends an email stating it is READY for Preorder.

Will this box set include the unaltered original trilogy? What other “bonuses” are included in this set that makes it worth $249?
No, I do not believe it will contain the unaltered original trilogy. Those are only available in the THX Widescreen/Full Screen Editions on VHS and Laserdisc from 1995.
George Lucas did release them on DVD in 2004 as a bonus in another package but they were not remastered or restored. They were inferior copies to say the least.
All 9 Star Wars "Skywalker" movies are in this set on 4K UHD/Blu-ray/Blu-ray Special Features disc/Digital Copy for each movie.
That's 27 discs total, plus the special artwork/packaging.
The only movies that will NOT be in this set are ROGUE ONE and SOLO, which are Star Wars Story movies.

do the bonus disks also come on digital?
I don't believe so. All previous releases of these SW movies have never had the special features on the digital format included. I think only the movies will be digital coded.
Therefore, Disney makes more money if you want to go and get the special features.

how do I get the 3D version? That is the only way to watch star wars.
Good question, I have been a long time fan of SW since the very beginning in May, 1977. It seems Disney is reluctant to provide us with their 3D versions of the movies. I do not understand this. The only 3D set that I have is from STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. That was a completely separate black sleeved set for purchase.
Hopefully, they will release it separately, but it does not appear it will be a part of this particular set.

It looks like Best Buy is including this in the box set for all 9 movies.

Just to be sure , it doesn't include Rouge One or Solo but does it contain The Rise of Skywalker ?
It will not include the STAR WARS STORY movies, "ROGUE ONE" and "SOLO".
These will only be the 9 Star Wars "Skywalker" movies, all on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, plus any special features that most likely are already out in previous releases on one Blu-ray for each movie. DVD format will not be included in this set.
